Sir ,I have a problem What actually a share means we all know that to start a big company a large sum of money is needed and it's not possible for an individual to invest such a lage amount ..so those are interested in buisness joins together and form company .they divide the company means what ??actually they do Please tell

Suppose you have started a company - Anushka pvt. Ltd and suppose you have estimated it to be of 1,00,00,000 (1crore) Now if you have that much money, then obviously you can open your company by your own, you don't need any partners, but if you don't have that much money, you give (or sell) some % of company to an investor to give you money for it. So those investors get some % shares of the company. Now if still, you need more money, you can start public offering by listing your company in share market. Now if I buy, suppose I'm very poor and I buy 1 share of your company at ₹1000 now you can see how much share I have in your company. 1000 / 1 crore x 100 = 1/100 = 0.01% of your company Technically speaking, yes i am now 0.01% owner of your company. But with that very small ownership, I won't be able to make any decisions. Those decisions will only be take by the members of the company who have the huge share % (who are the owners of the company ie, you) Hope this helps
