A lot of people are pretty convinced that AA made Tav/durge a vampire bride, not a vampire spawn, so Tav will actually have free will and be somewhere between a vampire and a spawn. So long as Tav's into it... It could be a really cool relationship long-term, being dark consort with all that power.

Not really, even if you don’t romance Ascended Astarion, he mentions that he lets other vampires enjoy soirees and parties and such. He gave them a much better social life than Cazador ever did. At least he won’t treat people entirely like slaves
