Whoa now. Norway is quite alert ⚠ so careful now. Dropped off and stuck in a Fjord for a days. You better pick your poison. Weeks without any food. Glad my Grandpa taught how to make Litrine for the Lads.

When your soldiers are sent far away on missions abroad, where they have to risk their life, its not much to ask to at least have a little taste of home and decent food. The French understand that, and I respect them more for it.

The way I see it they're both made to serve different needs. Norway is more rugged and sparsely populated, meaning their military will often have to carry their meals on their backs in areas where water is readily available. Meanwhile the french army will often travel with motorized vehichles meaning the extra weight is less of a concern.

Between the French and Italian rations alone, one could eat like royalty. They know how to feed their troops in the field. Hot rations from a NATO messhall are to die for. 😂 In Afghanistan. I tried to eat at ISAF facilities as much as I could.

That´s a very stressful situation. Mistakes happen. Also those solid fuel stoves usually have an indentation for the fuel tablet. The indentation goes up.

Agreed. Well, she may have been bored because he was pulling out every single tiny little item out of that box it took him forever. And then he was kind of dissing their food because they needed water and hot water.

@@bamfordsteele555 To me it did not appear like he was dissing the food. It seemed more like he did not understand why the Norwegians do not have field rations with ready-to-eat mains. The freeze dried meal easily adds 20 minutes prep time before you can dig in. On the plus side it´s a cold weather meal.
