Could you please make a video on how to avoid double kiss on bank shots with object ball close to the rail? Always struggling with it :(

Good stuff! I can appreciate that you didn't edit out any misses nor mistakes. Talking us through each rack & remaining focused on the table is not the simplest of task. So bravo!!

Great video. I appreciate a lot how u are so honest and down to earth. In the last 5 minutes u spit gold about the mental game that a lot of people including my self should incorporate in their game. Thanks for the great content sharivari

It's so difficult to talk and play at the top of your game. I watch a lot of pro's miss ''easy'' shots all the time. That has helped me in my game ten fold. We're human, we make mistakes. I wish there was a fix for it. LOL. Great video. Keep them coming.

The last words in this video are some of my favorite ive ever heard from any pool player. At the end of the day we play for the love of the game. And how you play isnt about how you are as a person.

Since you've been so generous sharing tips, I want to share something I've found. When breaking in 9 ball I use top and hit the 1 ball solidly so the cue ends up continuing straight. I get a decent amount of 9 ball on the break like this. Do it right and the 9 heads right for the corner. (Launching from side rail of choice)

You had a pretty good push out option in rack 2, if you are comfortable with straight back banks, and your opponent doesn't favor long shots. You could roll down to the bottom corner pocket and challenge your opponent to shoot with low chance of getting to the 3. On amateur level, most players takes on low percentage shots, instead of playing safe, and sells out.

It would be interesting to see how much your strategies change on english table with the smaller pockets and bouncier rails.

Yeah once you learn spin you end up using for every shot and need to remember the center shot once again. ⚽

Fantastic! This is one of my favorite videos by you! Also love seeing and hearing you dissect when you play in tournaments, and of course your regular instruction videos. But this came at the perfect time for me. Playing a tournament where most players are out of my league and practicing especially with an eye towards safeties today was feeling I wasn’t getting it good enough. But even though you are also way above my skill it is so reassuring to see that even you don’t always get the perfect safety, or the mental aspect. I know exactly what you mean too about worrying about impressing, showing how good one is. When you forget about that and play for yourself it works better. Wish there was five more racks to watch. This and the other video where you talk about percentages in strategy, how to decide have helped a lot. Also was reassuring to hear from you, I thought it was my lack of skill where I would decide to go for the shot and a general shape after but concentrate on the shot most. Hearing even you feel that helps my confidence that if I feel like spin and getting fancy makes it too much more difficult just do less spin, etc. This helped build up my confidence going into the tournament.

@@Sharivari Thank you! I really am impressed and thankful that you in addition to great instruction which is edited also put out videos like this. I am sure it helps a lot of people like me to know it isn’t all perfection, it’s feel, and so much mental game as well. Made me think about the thoughts as I play. Thinking as you say, that my biggest takeaway is when you decided on what shot and how to play it, don’t get doen on the shot and start letting thoughts other than “there…no a little touch to the left” etc. but not negative doubts, or IF I have them, stand up again and reassess. Also negative thoughts. “I HAVE to make this shot, it’s crucial” May be better to think “I want to see that ball go in perfectly and get shape”. In matches, the overall feeling is “this is important” already. It can help, but too much of it can wear you down. Sometimes it helps me to go to “feel” like the feel of the eight of the cue as I prestroke. The getting rid of wavering. Also that intuition, when it just doesn’t feel right, I hate that the most, shooting a shot I feel isn’t right, but momentum or something makes me continue even though I have a bad feeling. The worst for me is I have just a few balls left and know I can run out, but going up to play I’ve noticed the fear of being “exposed” as a fraud. Like a shot I think “my opponent would think this was a piece of cake…straightforward” but I’m spending time thinking about how to run out. I have to own my time at the table. Can’t do anything when the opponent is shooting, and when it’s my turn need to take the time I need. It’s hard because you feel like the opponent is thinking “what the hell, that is all ABC there” So yeah, I need to focus on “now it’s my turn and I want to see the balls go in”. Decide, however long it takes, and then when I get down, only small correction or reminders, no stressful thoughts. Very much looking forward to more on the mental game from you!

7:09 why is this spin helping knocking in the ball? :)
@kreidekiste2 ай бұрын
The little sidespin-element of this one helps aiming/feeling the tiny angle (depends on shaft and aiming-technique for sure). And the backspin transfers some roll (forward-momentum) to the object ball and actually helps it roll in if you are slightly off. It's all not massive in this case but it's there.
