That Sharjeena scene was one of the best moments on TV in a long time. And I disagree with Hassan, the hug was perfect because it wasnt meant to be passionate. That was a tired, distraught meltdown where she falls in with all that emotion. Just brillianttttt.
@samrahmumtaz94693 ай бұрын
It wasn't simply a hug. It was an emotional breakdown. The hug was unintentional. Sharjeena was holding so much inside her. There is no one in her life who understands her situation. She was suppressing her emotions and pain from everyone around her. But Mustafa is the only one she believes will understand her emotions. Sharjeena told him on the first night of their wedding that she would never demand anything from him, but unintentionally, she now expects everything from him. That is why she broke down in front of him. She knows he is the only one who will understand and tolerate all her emotions.

I am hooked to Sharjeena and Mustafa's chemistry. Watched those scenes so many times. That meltdown scene was brilliantly done and Sharjeena's words touches heart where she brokenly says "Main hamara future sochti hu. Tum bilkul nhi sochte". i think the hug was rightly done but Mustafa could have held onto her for a little longer and they could also have fed each other. Mustafa's "Main jag gaya" says a damn lot and the conversation between them infront of her office was indirectly a love confession. i agree with Hassan. They both know they are attracted to each other and most importantly comfortable for Sharjeena to say the words" tut k bhi toh mera hai... jod dungi aur khyal bhi rakhungi". what more can anybody want for!!!

KMKT: I was disappointed by the shadi twist which I felt was not expected from a writer such as Farhat Ishtiaq but still kept hope. I was absolutely delighted from these two episodes. No one can write romance as well as Farhat Ishtiaq with Saima Ji coming second. She writes so intricately like using motifs like rain (like the infamous Humsafar scene) or nashta or money and connecting personal circumstances for a bigger picture without resorting to unnecessary and windy dialogues. Fahad Mustafa is a delight to watch. He is so effortless that without dialogues you could feel what he feels - just by looking or mannerism. I was critical of Hania’s crying ability but this episode put me wrong because she was actually fantastic; she looked visibly disturbed and her dialogue delivery which was grief, frustration and venting was brilliant.
@samrahmumtaz94693 ай бұрын
@MoeezMufti Character of Mustafa exemplifies how you don't have to be flawless to be a Green Flag hero. He is imperfect, yet he is such a non-toxic hero. Of course, he will change himself for Sharjeena, but he is one of the best male lead character I have watched after a long time. Fahad Mustafa should face criminal charges for leaving acting for that ridiculous game show. He's so good. His acting flows like water. I am highly critical of Hania's acting, but not in KMKT. She is brilliant in this drama. Their pair was new, and literally, nobody expected this type of chemistry between them. But they look so good together.
@alishbahasad66763 ай бұрын
So true! As a farhat ishtiaq's fan, I had the same feelings! But she writes romance Beautifullllly!! Humsafar also had that typical twist of saas and all that but we didn't realise that so much in those days😂 (osman khalid Butt made us realised though by his comic take on humsafar)😂

KMKT: In the beginning, I was disappointed with Farhat Ishtiaq for writing a cliche plot. After watching the last two episodes, I am in love with the script, the developing relationship between Mustafa and Sharjeena. Both Hania and Fahd are performing very well; are very natural in their roles. The other track of Adeel is also interesting. Looking forward.

We were talking about how disappointed we all were with Farhat Ishtiaq. But, OMG, this story took an unexpected turn after their marriage. Yeah, it's the same wedding that drew criticism from fans. But, guess what? This wedding was the turning point in their story. Because no one expected such a warm and charming relationship between two strangers. Now I can say that it's a Farhat Ishtiaq's writing. Sharjeena is a classic Farhat ishtiaq heroine; she is intelligent, educated, and career-oriented, and she is the type of girl who never hesitates to raise her voice, but she is not rude or disrespectful without any reason. She is the embodiment of the perfect, strong heroine.

KMKT: Sherjeena scene during the storm and her letting out her frustration at Mustafa stole the show and later Mustafa's care and explanation of the reason behind his behaviour are a true reflection of the role parenting and peer pressure play on a child and his growth. When parents idolize one child and discriminate against the other, it has a very detrimental impact on the child's growth and future. Purely engaging performance by hania and mustafa in all thier scenes, thier relationship starts as a marriage of convenience;the girl just wanted to save her father's izzat in society and family ,but now when she is in the nikkaha she is trying to make it work .....many girls who are best academically are suppose to be best in marriage too failure or being flop is not in thier dictionary same with hania's character she is bearing everything just to fit in ,...the story buildup as a drama is very good as in arranged marriages in our culture (though it is not an arranged marriage too); first nikkah then dating and love ,but here sharjena has to put alot ALOT of work into this marriage she is settled in the family with fluidity and ease the relationship with her husband is slowly taking pace they are just taking care of each other ,covering each other's flaws,changing mutually for eachother ,which is very close to مودة ;they are trying to make life easy for each other rather than bringing stars from heaven .....the acting is supberb by both actors ....one can coviently watch the drama again .For the hug scene my vote is with amna hc got 0 marks😂 the scene is not about passionate bolloywood love where rain and thunder is shown to blaze all your hormones😂 here the guy was ashmed and astonished of his mistake the girl was scared with the baggage of her emotions it was her out burst and she leens with disappointment not asking passion ,but excellent execution by the team 👏

Kabhi main kabhi tum: I think the dialogs were outstanding. Not many can verbalize their frustrations, which are very real, this well and communicate it like so. Doffing my hat to the writer. And Hania performed it in an outstanding way w/o going ott & staying in character as she's shown to not give into dramatics. And Fahad M is such an effortless actor. I didn't want to like his character, I usually don't like the lazy, directionless couch potato, but he exhibited tremendous potential underneath that laid-back, floppy-haired dud-like exterior. I think the hug was done right, awkward and showing she was still a bit upset. The cup noodles part was cute. I think the realization of Fahad's character after Sharjeena's outburst that she is the only one who has been trying to hold the relationship together while he made no effort was very quick...and which he acts on as a truly smart person should. It's the spark indicating this might just work. Look forward to more developments. Can we just send the MIL to live with Adeel already so there is some lasting peace?😊

When Fawad was doing gay role in bollywood Fahad was doing back to back amazing films like actor in law load wedding and JPNA2.. So Fahad has always been best in his choices as compared to Fawad.

The messaging of Barzakh in the last episode was quite disturbing. There is scene of reinterpreting holy book and fangs coming out of Sanam Saeed char. symbolized serpent (promotion of devil worship). Some legal action must be taken against the writer as well as cast members. All this filth was shown without censor to Pakistani viewers.
@ahmadrehan50593 ай бұрын
Snake also symbolises wisdom and sanam is shown as guidance for humanity in many terms. The blank pages are actually a symbol of Rebirth. This is all literature, nothing religious!

@@akhtrzaman4955 Snakes & Serpents both. Also snakes are always taken in a negative connotation even if they appear in one's dreams, this shows snakes aren't always related to the devil and evil.

Time and time again, i"ve noticed, Hassan"s interpretation of these love gestures and scenes are from bollywood"s overstimulated and sensationalized romance. In reality, the way human behaves as hania 's hug, was so natural. There is inhibition mixed with desire mixed with how could he be so careless. That's why it was slow. And then when fahad drops her to office, their little flirty halal convo superb. This is toying with each other, and yes, friends do have such conversation. If I refuse a lunch meet-up with my real close best male friend, he would say, oh dil toot Gaya. And totally in all halal way probably have responded same.

I stopped watching "Barzakh" after two episodes-not because of the controversial content, but because I felt it might become scattered and not worth my time or attention. Your review reassures me that I made the right choice. I enjoy nonlinear, critically acclaimed films like "Inception," "Shutter Island," and "Pulp Fiction." Those movies have compelling storytelling, and the challenge of deciphering their intricacies is truly rewarding.

KMKT: Sharzina is such a lovable character, and Hania brings her to life beautifully. Fahad's character journey is the cornerstone of the story, and it’s a joy to watch. The hug scene was perfect in my opinion. After Sharzina's emotional outburst, it symbolized that her reaction wasn't just anger but a mix of frustration, desperation, and love for Mustafa. By the way, Hasan Bhai, I think you're interpreting the hug in a very typical way, which might take away from the impact of the scene.

KMKT- Have to agree with Aamna here, that hug was just perfect. It flows. She was not scared anymore. It was part of the melt down and just opening up and being emotional. Though I get it, looking forward to the passion :P

Barzakh got lost in symbolism. Too many. It looked like a stage drama in a school theatre. And I watched till last episode to see why homosexuality was added in this drama. What was the point? Had zero importance of it.

KMKT is such a treat to watch! Totally disagree with Hasan's point on the hug. It was perfect. Also, the jhappi on bijli karankna trope is so done.

I looked for Bismil’a OST right after Hassan said the singer is from Khan Sahab’s family and his voice is similar to Khan Sahab’s. Didn't find the OST but its there in teasers. Man! I got goosebumps, I thought I was listening to the ‘Aur pyaar ho gaya’ album or something. The similarity is astonishing. Looking forward to more of his work ❤

Barzakh really wasn't too complex to understand. It certainly wasn't a 'Dark' for instance. In fact its parallel storylines of Shahryar and his son, Saif ullah, Shehrzad, the Lumberdar, the 40 lost daughters, and the villagers were quite straight forward, with a clear conclusion. The only plot line that did not have a straightforward conclusion was that of Jabbar, that too when it came to his and Mahtaabs conclusion - which I felt was left a bit ambitious on purpose. They were definitely together at the end, 'the how' of it is the part that is open to interpretation I think. I really enjoyed the series and even more the fact that the whole world building felt complete and not half baked - a feat really. Here's how I watched it -I watched every episode twice and at normal speed. Also and I can't stress it enough - with an open mind!!! I'm a professor of Anthropology and I often start my courses with this quotation by Aristotle, something I think I absolutely need to repeat here: " The sign of an educated mind is that it can entertain an idea without accepting it" .
