This makes me miss Florida so much. The calabash buffets, fishing in the brackish, canals, and the abundance of nature. I spent a year in Hobe sound Florida back in 87 when I was 12. I rode a 600 pound green sea turtle back into the ocean after watching it lay its eggs and it was amazing. What a fun, mouthwatering, and reminiscent video.

Hey guys, I’m Japanese and my wife is Filipina and we love shark too!!! We live in California and fish up and down the coast. We normally catch a few sharks while fishing on jetty’s, pier’s and harbor’s. Most are smaller sharks that are about 3’-5’ in length. Like you did in the video, we immediately gut and clean the sharks. Otherwise, if you wait, the sharks will urinate within themselves while they die… and the shark meat will be ruined. It happened the first time we caught a five foot Leopard Shark. We didn’t gut it until we got home and the shark stunk up our car and spoiled. Lesson learned and that never happened again. Lol!!! Shark is so delicious, yet many people don’t know that. It’s a clean, white meat that isn’t dry like a lot of fish when cooked. My wife likes to cook it in her Filipino soup dishes. It’s masarap!!! Ace, my boss took us all on a Yellow Fin Tuna fishing expedition 120 miles out into the GoM last August. We were expecting good red snapper results but the Skipper stopped the boat all a sudden 5 miles after the red snapper spot because he spotted a bunch of Cobias and we caught a HUGE one! Enough to for 2 huge filets a piece between the 5 of us!

I know you're not trout fishing, but your cooking method reminds me, one of my favorite ways to cook trout as a kid while camping and fishing was to wrap it in tinfoil with season salt and butter and put it in the fire pit we usually had going
