At the first of your trip when your dog starting to alert you of a presence. Then your wife heard a sound of a yodel something that was not dog or bear. It's my opinion that you came close to what the natives call the man of the woods. The fact that there were so much edible vegetation, makes me believe that you almost had an encounter that might have been very shocking. I don't know. Just thinking out loud. Dinner and a movie with the Baird's. That was awesome Ted. I hope your toe is better and the part when you showed and explained what happen to the toe, then the next segment, carrying an ax I thought, cutting it off ain't gonna help none. Anywho, the footage of this trip was fabulous. Great job on the still-like filming. From one photographer to another, you have a great eye for the camera. Heather's explanations of the dry food. I think I'll stay away from the chocolate cheesecake. The Cabin Falls. Amazing. This will be my next canvas painting.

Enjoyed camping, canoeing, seeing the wildlife, hearing about your freeze dried meals, hearing about the sacred land at the tower, meeting Heather, & Bella wanting your attention, wanting her dinner when she's ready. Adorable! It would have been more rewarding climbing up to the tower without the heavy fog. I like the tent. I liked the idea of painting the axe handle orange. So enjoyed every bend in the river as every step up and down the mountain through the waterfalls gave way to more beautiful scenery. I do hope your toe made a full healing for you Ted, it's tough pushing onward when a part off you says no. Heather we have enjoyed making the fireside pizza and it's a big hit. Miss Bella your such a good girl and knoble gaurd dog. May your canoe drift along this summer into fall with many more strokes to share with us all. I’ll never forget the Canadian discovery …what excitement…they were able to do a count…the site was monitored to protect the crane

Ted, you wear the worst foot ware during your trips. Protect your feet. They carry you everywhere. I wear Simms boots waders and Crispies for the dry. Love your stuff.

The Mountain House Breakfast skillet is best in a flour tortilla wrap with some hot sauce. I don’t know if you have noticed, but ALL the Mountain House meals calls for too much water. If you use about 1/2 cup less than what the directions call for the meals turn out less watery and more flavorful. Mountain House is my favorite brand followed by Backpackers Pantry.

Great tip! I'd slam some franks in that all day then add the wrap definitely an upgrade. Yes re too much water. Especially since i eyeball it most of time and blow it lol. I like both mtn house and Backpackers Pantry some meals one brad does better then the other and vice versa. BP pantry you can get higher calorie meals however so for very vigerous days I go for those. Over all I love simplicity 👍🛶
