really like this vac. I too like a good bagged vac and it would be cool if they made one, but this one seems like a well thought out vacuum at least. impressed. the dust bin seems to be slightly easier to pull out and do your cleaning than the miele

I was going to buy the previous Shark canister you showed on your channel....we got it here in Canada with a slightly different powerhead....but they discontinued it before I had a chance to buy one. Thanks for such an in depth and informative review. I understand the duo clean head front brush mainly assists with lifting fine dust from hard floors but do you think the duo clean head was what made the difference to picking up so much fine dust from your carpet? We recently bought the CZ250UKT and are wondering if we should upgrade. Our house is mainly carpeted with some Lino. We’re looking to get fine dust out of carpet specifically due to dust mite allergies.

Oh my god, is it just me or the filter already looked dirty after your living room carpet? The bin looks a bit complicated. I think it might be a bit difficult to say if it's full cause the bin is dark.

Yes, a clear bin would be better, imo...and the filter, yes, SHARK foam and felt filters get dirty quickly, no way one can get away with washing them up only about once a month! For me, it's a weekly job. I have two corded uprights, NV680 and NV340, and the filters get scary dusty, from white to grey after vacuuming a 3 bedroom apartment!

There are only four versions at the moment on Shark’s website because they still have stocks of the old model alongside the new version with powerfins and digital display. I would have thought the US will get the new models. I am really impressed with the latest version.

Soooo after 8 months of seeing this video shark have finally released this model and the lower spec model to australia 🇦🇺 and is available from our binglee stores... not sure if available in other stores but I'm sure they will be soon. I regularly check all our electrical stores to see what new models become available and was so excited to see this one finally arrive, also the new electrolux ultimatehome 700 barrel/ cylinder vacuum and miele cx1 boost are now available 😀 I like the shark for the powerhead as most of our vacuums here in OZ are straight suction with optional turbo head only unless you buy upright, I prefer cylinder as I find uprights too heavy and bulky to lug around and I can clean above floor better and easier than an upright.

Great video which made me realsie different storage options I hadnt discovered! This model's suction is great but it can feel a bit awkward as the hose does not swivel at all at either connection point, which makes it difficult to manoeuvre. Fed up with the black hose marking white walls because its so rigid. Is there a connector I can purchase which will enable a swivel fuction?

Thinking getting myself a canister vacuum. I have an upright but pain to get into certain areas like under bed or furniture that too heavy to move. Told go canister and unsure about getting it. Told that if get something like this get hepa style bags not paper bags. Though also bagless ones like you have so some options i choose from. Amazing these type of vaccums have come a long way. Im told the older types were a bit more troublesom to lug around and get all the dirt compaired to the modern ones. So why im thinking of getting one.

I am so jealous that they do not have this available in the US. I LOVE SHARK!!! I own 3 myself and I been in search of one that will do my vinyl laminate floors, carpet and my tile all in one. That is my next purchase. I even wrote shark asking for their advice on the best one for my situation and nothing... There are a few, but nothing in big box retail stores like there used to be. Lindhaus, Riccar, Aerus, Titan, Prolux, Kenmore, Sebo, and Miele sell canisters in the USA. At least, canisters with power nozzles.

I think in the past you couldn't get brushed floor heads for cylinders and therefore making them not great for carpets. However that has changed in recent years. The other issue with cyclinder is that the hose can get in the way and sometimes knot up on itself. The hose also takes up more space when storing.

Just look at 13:12", there is a HEPA filter in the back, not a pre-motor, but it will filter the exhaust air. It seems SHARK vacs do not have pre-motor filters...I have a NV680 and a NV340 (uprights) and they only have the felt/foam filters plus the HEPA.

How well does the canister glide along carpet and hard floor? Do you need to bend down each time and pull it forward or can you just tug on the handle/hose to get the canister moving where you want it to go?

I don't like cylinder vacuums myself, nor bagless.. But I'm thinking my mother might like this, as she is starting to complain about a full size upright being heavy to push around. I thought this might be easier for her, until Roger said it was difficult to push on his deep plie carpet - now I am not so sure.

I've been wanting to buy one for my own mom as well. I still think a canister vacuum might be better because most of the weight itself is on the canister that goes on the floor and you don't have to hold and carry, whereas with stick vacuum you are holding most of the weight on the hand But let me know if your mother felt otherwise!

It still works, but I don’t use it as I prefer to use bagged vacuums for my day to day cleaning. This model is messy to empty and needs frequent filter cleaning. If you don’t mind the maintenance, then it is a good al rounder. I can’t comment on long term reliability though.

I think Miele is always a better option because they are bagged and last a long time with very good performance. Baggless vacuums are the worst invention of 21 century, the amount of dust they generate when you empty the dust bin plus all the extra maintenance and cleaning they require after nearly every hoovering will put a lot of people off.... Congratulations Miele, Sebo and Henry for doing proper vacuums.

If you bought it brand new then it should still be under guarantee. Sharks are notoriously hard to open up to repair.

I realize the duo clean is ment for hard floors aswell but I am a house cleaner and people tend to be very particular about there hard floors so I find the hard floor attachments work better at the small bits 🙂
