We have the PZ1000UKT anti hair wrap lift away, so basically the same apart from the colour scheme. We’ve owned it for almost a year now and so far I’ve been impressed, despite not been a fan of bagless machines. At the time of purchase Shark were offering a free 5 year warranty. It cleans carpet and hard floors well and the lift away feature is very useful. I wash pre- motor filters and soft roller monthly and wipe out the dirt bin. Simple regular maintenance like this ensures peak performance and I think lack of this maintenance is why some owners experience problems. We also have a Numatic George, so that takes care of a particularly dirty jobs, such as DIY and carpet and upholstery washing when necessary.

I've got the US Version of this vacuum known as the Shark Vertex and I absolutely love it!! The only main difference between this and the US version is the US version has a 1400 watt motor since we don't have any energy restrictions and its probably quite a bit louder since we don't have noise restrictions either. Definitely over 80 decibels but other than that, very similar machine with a few minor differences on the floor nozzle but I can definitely see why you love this vacuum so much. Probably not as powerful as the American version but still a very good machine!! :)

PROTIP: If you want to find out the year a Shark vacuum was made - the date code is on the prong of the power plug. Not sure if this is still applicable for EU machines, but on US machines it is.

@@Olliebobalong well they don’t last overly that long, but they are good on warranty’s here in the uk, our old one blew up just under a year, had a brand new vacuum in 2 days, and there quiet pick up really well if looked after

The American version is called the vertex and it has more suction and airflow, a different brushroll, and obviously a different color. Still an awesome shark vacuum.

I have this one, I find it heavier and not so easy to manoeuvre as my older Shark NV601UKT, maybe having arthritis doesn’t help. I find the anti hair wrap works really well on my NZ850UKT my one came with a free car detailing set of tools as well. The only trouble seems to be there are no filters available on the Shark site, people have been waiting 9 months for them to come back in stock and people are having to buy sets from Ebay that aren’t official ones. I have a spare set for my older Shark so when one set is washed and drying there is no waiting about. I just hope that Shark get these filters in eventually or I will have to get the unofficial alternatives from Ebay.

Very efficient machine when working, but shocking customer service when machine goes wrong, even with the five year warranty , Shark make it impossible to claim

@@wakaflockaproject 2 Shark Duoclean Speeds - both have their nozzle hoses broken over time and thus have poor pickup. Shark no longer has the powerhead in stock, thus the vacuum is useless for floor pickup. If you live in the UK, the price for Sebo is reasonable, esp for the service and longetivity. I'm done with shark - they use most of their profits for marketing, not for actually standing behind their products.

You should look into getting a Rainbow, more specifically a D4 or SE with the rectangular power head because the power heads on those machines had slide valves at the front of the nozzle that gave you the power and performance of opening the hose relief but at the front of the head so the air is still being pulled through the nozzle. It seems they are hard to find in the UK for some reason and possibly why Dyson ignorantly stated his was the first bagless machine that didn't lose performance, even though, his still did. The first relatively well known bagless machines were the Rexair (predecessor to the Rainbow and the name of the company that makes it) and Filter Queen. I wouldn't be surprised his machine wouldn't have made it to market if he saw the Rainbow.

I have never had a Shark long enough to need to change a belt, but Shark don’t sell spare belts and you need to buy a whole new head assembly. It may not be the belt that’s the problem anyway, especially if the lights don’t work anymore.
