Shark Drak Helmets Review

Finally got the x drak. Its a real headturner!!! A real superlite helmet weighing in under 2.81lbs. It will take some gettin use to viewing thru the panaramic sun shield lense. Shes plenty wide enough...yet your depth perception will be noticeably different from a tradional full face or 3/4 helmet. I have numerous helmets and this is a nice add on for an experienced rider. Newbies should start with a full face helmet first then work your experience on up to 3/4 and half helmets in general. wellness😁

Chevelle405 yeah, you’re better off buying a 3/4 MDM or a Fly .38 both are low profile, good quality and better price. Then buy a combo goggles and mask combo at amazon. Cheaper and just as cool.

The chin guard would protect from scraping as you slide up the road so this is better than a fully open face. It is being run over by vehicles you should be worried about. In fact you are probably trying to ignore that unpleasant reality by focusing on trivia

Ive stacked it with this helmet, face down, not a scratch on me. whole front of the helmet was fucked. I was surprised. This is definitely better than an open face helmet

Wearing a helmet isn’t some malicious way of getting people to pay for big helmet corp to make money. It’s genuinely a safety concern

Bullet resistance helmets are not meant for motorcycle use. They are used to protect against shrapnel and bullets. The impact of bullets and shrapnel is completely different from a collision on a motorcycle so the engineering is different as well.

What is with the helmets with the fake chin bars, seems dangerous, why not just make them look like that but a a real full face helmet? I like the way it looks but I can't not think of my chin being blasted into oblivion.

Full-face helmets are required to have a larger eyeport, so you wouldn't be able to get the same design in a full-face. -DrewZilla

That's what it seems to me... That the side insert resembles a Sharp electric razor, one of its rings should be the Shark designers, either for the sake of humor, for some other reason they used the image of a razor blade in this helmet!

@@MrGarnettmiller when the guy says "half and three quarter helmets" he means your classic harley guy brain buckets and then open face helmets, he's not talking about dimensions. I think the point here is that people have been riding bikes with open faced helmets for the last 80 years so this isn't the first helmet not to have actual face protection.

Comment is over a year old but I will say for the sake of others, I have the street drak and wear glasses, at first it is a little bit of a pain because you have to unsnap the goggles on at least one side, put on glasses then snap goggles back on. But after a few times it gets pretty quick and easy. After that initial process, it's actually really nice with glasses. The best part about the drak helmets, is that because they are actually goggles you never ever get any amount of visor fog.
