shark fishing at Poppleton

The Ewer's "Dorsal II" skiff snags a big shark on the trawl line and reels it in on the very first attempt.
Note, this is no ordinary toy, but a fully functional RC shark with propulsion and maneuvering. A small piece of flotation foam was added to the sharks nose to keep it high in the water along with a metal plate. The trawl line end is fitted with a magnet and float so as the shark is maneuvered up to the trawl, the magnet grabs the metal plate and the gear reduction deck winch is engaged to pull the shark onto the boat.
This action requires skill by both the boat and shark drivers to make the capture.
