Cherish these years Gabe. Me and my 2 boys grew up on the gulf on a 23' pro line. When they got around 15 they lost interest and got into sports, JROTC, and girls. They're both active Army Rangers now. And I have since sold the slip and boat. But the time we spent on the water will be some of the best memories of my life. Along w bluegill, walleye, steelhead, and muskie fishing w my Dad in Mich. # Good Dad

I have family in the pan handle of Florida and just about every year in the summer that is where I would be until i was about 13. I remember that summer it rained every single day that I was there for 15 minutes to 2 hours but never longer than that. lol that was 34 years ago. I have hunted and fished all my life pond hopping by bicycle. Now I only get to do it through you guys Thank You BlueGabe and Kelly Young . Yall are the best.

I’ve found that when I’m bass fishing and using a Carolina rig, we put a glass or plastic bead on the top and bottom of the lead, that accomplishes two things, 1: swivels don’t get hung up and 2: the beads tapping against the led weight gives off sounds that help attract fish, sorta like a rattle that’s in lures. That’s my 2 cents FWIW

I use a clear and a red bead on my carolina rig...for about the same thing...Deep East Texas Bass are huge!! Also try a drop shot!

Gabe, the pink works so well because it holds the heat that fish at that depth would radiate, fish see in the uv spectrum(same reason why you fish for king salmon with pink baits in the puget sound or different color jig heads in different areas on the east coast). Hope that helps, it’s pretty interesting when you get into the biology aspect of fishing

Talking about safety diver: did you hear about the diver who lost his life here of Jacksonville coast? They were 15ft from surface and one of the divers (most experienced) just disappeared and no one knows where or what happened. They did their 15ft safety check and at one point he was there and the next he was gone. In short just please be safe out there.

Love the video and being in the Keys! Use to be in Big Pine and stay at mile marker 33 (Big Pine fishing lodge) in the late 80's thru late 90's. Had a camper stored there and would come down from West Palm Beach every couple of weeks for a long weekend to lobster hunt,catch fish and relax in between! Bad part was heading back and having to go back to work the next day.
