I can't recommend this vacuum enough...honestly.. never ever had a vacuum that worked so well. First time I used it I had to empty it 5 times.. and I only used my old one the day before. It lifts so much ground in cat fur I didn't even know was there. Absolutely brilliant.

I have one of these and absolutely LOVE it. I love the lift away and the canister caddy on the wheels. I was always against bagless vacs before, but this one really does not leak. We have a dog and two cats, and hubby has cat allergies. It works wonderfully. I wish I could stay home from work and vacuum all day like the happy homemaker housewife I deserve to be. (LOL!)

Thank you for such an informative and detailed review Roger. After being loyal to Dyson for years and never even entertaining the thought of trying another brand, I was brave enough to replace my ageing Dyson machine with one of these. After just over a week of ownership and I absolutely LOVE it! None of the carpets in my home are especially old, but the Shark has given them a new lease of life and I have also been amazed at how much dirt and dust it has pulled out of them (considering I am very fussy with cleanliness of my home) It's certainly made me realise how long my Dyson must have been underperforming despite it having a thorough clean and MOT recently. With having a lot of furniture that is low to the ground, I love the fact that I am now able to get underneath it due to the flexibility that this machine offers as well. Thank you again!

@@brendalee4013 Thanks! I received it from UK. Unfortunately I'm not really impressed. It doesn't vacuum dead flies on hard floors, it pushes away even changing to hard floor to carpet also heavy to maneuver. It works OK on carpets though. I bought Sebo Felix later and maneuvering 180 degrees is so much lighter and there are vacuuming levels which is practical. One thumb up for Shark is Lift-away system.

I'd been vacillating on the product for quite some time because some many people complaining that it doesn't last long, breaks easily, brush stopped rotating etc. But then many people are indeed praising the product. And some KZbinrs are criticizing all Shark products how money hungry the company was, not selling parts separately, stopped working after a few months of use, but after I watched this video I finally decided to purchase. It's now on a way from UK to France. I was surprised the high price, and hoping it lasts at least 3 years. It'll will be complicated to return it to UK if anything happens within guarantee period. I absolutely love this vacuum it is one of the best I’ve ever bought actually my husband used it so much that there is not one bristle left on the main head of the vacuum. I’m trying to save up money to buy a new replacement part but I’ve been unemployed for almost a year due to an injury. Hope to get another one soon I would recommend it to anyone I have actually used the small pet rotator brush I use that on my floors and did it by hand because there are no bristles on the main part of the vacuum anymore my husband really like to vacuum .

I need to upgrade was going to get a dyson light ball but after seeing this and other reviews online of the shark I think I’ll go for one of these . I like the way the brush roll comes out for cleaning . So I think I may treat myself for one of these for Christmas .

After three months of use I am still thrilled by this machine. Although you may want to clean the foam filters quite regularly, the cleaner keeps up suction power very well. I am also amazed about how good the build quality is. I have bought the Sonic Duo carpet/hardfloor cleaner as well - it is a breeze to use and does a fantastic job. And that machine too is very well bulit. I am looking forward to what Shark has in store for the future. This is definitely one brand to watch.

Hi Roger, I vacuumed my carpets with my Sebo and also with my. Meila . I to the shark rotator powered lift a way and re-vacuumed the carpets. WOW The dust cup is full to the top. I am thinking about all the money that I've spent on the Sebo and Meila. Well i do love vacuum cleaners so i can just play a round with them. We just moved into a new house with a Electrolux central vac system. I will let you know what i think of it after i give it a run about. Thanks as always for all your work and videos.

Hi Roger, I have looking at this for a good while now but was skeptical about it until now. I have always said the only good vacuum brand here in the states is Electrolux but this shark seems to do just as good. We had the cordless model in the UK for a brief period but I didn't get one and they are no longer available. I had a cheap purple Shark cordless stick but sold that unfortunately. I have a feeling Shark will be expanding their cordless cleaners as most manufacturers seem to be offering cordless cleaners now.

+ibaisaic Hi Roger.. I emailed you some photos of what the Shark cordless picked up off my floor.. Did very well and grosses me out how much fine dirt and hair it picked up. Only downside (if you can call it that) is it's a bit loud but like a whooshing air sound, Not a high pitch whistle. So all in all it's superb. Used it for 25 minutes and still going strong too. +ibaisaic I agree Roger.. I think Shark will be offering some amazing new cordless vacuums very soon. But in the mean time I'm more impressed with my Shark Rotator SV1107 than my Dyson V6... The Shark (in my testing) cleaned as well (in some cases better) as the Dyson in Max mode. But I'll take the Sharks almost 30 minutes of cleaning vs. 5 minutes on the Dyson any day. Thanks ;-)

Thank you I have this too now :-) . I bought the caddy £10 from shark eu so that the vacuum transforms into a canister form via the lift away function. I have carers and some are quite slight physically and they like this option. My main criticism of the vacuum is edge cleaning on one side only but it has lots of positive points including a comfortable noise level.

Impressive. People love them here but I have always been skeptical. I really like the way the hard floor head is raised. More vacuums should take such an approach. I would buy one if it was bagged. Roger, I really like what you have been doing with the videos lately. Showing clips, etc. as you are introducing the video adds that extra something that your exceedingly professional videos have always had. Two thumbs up from me!

I agree with you about being skeptical, but as you see from my other comments I own Shark vacuums because of Roger showing how well they clean. I too prefer bagged vacuums because it's so easy to pop in a new bag. But that said, Shark are the easiest of ALL bagless vacuums I've tried (I've owned near 200 vacuums) to empty. +ShrinkDavid 1982 I have allergies and asthma so I totally understand. But I've found a clean garbage bag and a Swiffer or duster type wand help tremendously. I hold the Shark bin down inside a garbage bag, open and dump it.. Then a quick wipe with a Swiffer duster and I don't even sneeze. But to each his own.. I totally understand. :-)

I know this video was over 2 years ago, but any update on how you are still liking the shark (or really any shark lift away model?) I was quick to dismiss the brand, and I've been convinced that a bagged vacuum is much better than bagless overall in quality and longevity as well as cleaning power. For deep cleaning long pile carpets (mine are just under 1/2 inch pile or roughly 11mm pile height) so I need something that works well on that level of carpeting. I know having a non-adjustable head height is a factor. What would you recommend seeing as you have tested all sorts of vacuums? Want to stay under or around $400 USD. Sebo is at the top of my list like the dart/felix but this seems like it has more handy features I'd like and 1/3rd the cost! Thanks!

Hi Roger - could I ask specifically about the weight of this cleaner and ease of use for someone like me. I'm in my 60's, only 5'3" tall and have a bad back! I was just about to buy one direct from Shark as they had a special offer running for a NV801 with the True Pet upgrade thrown in for free and I was very tempted after your excellent review. I just checked out a few users reviews on Amazon and to my disappointment there were quite a few saying how heavy it was and awkward to use as it swivels which one lady said hurt her back. The main problem was the weight. I'm basically looking for a lightweight upright cleaner which will fit under beds etc. Is this not the one for me after all :-( could you advise please as I don't think you mentioned the weight on video. Hi there seems to be some conflicting views on the weight of this vacuum. On one site (shop) it states 6.63 and on another it states 6.3. Can you clarify please? Hi Roger, is the only difference between this and the blue 680uk the pet turbo brush ? To me this one just seems like a sleeker, more polished version of the blue one. we have had one for 2 years - would never go back to Dyson. It works brilliantly. We have kids and cats!. Only problem we have encountered is the guide wheels at the front of the head/brush unit have worn out - which means the it snow ploughs the dust as there is no clearance underneath. trying to source a new part as I write this. Other than this wear and tear issue, the vacuum cleaners is 10/10

Love the video. Have you cleaned the HEPA filter? I own a Shark and love it. I thought the HEPA filter had to be replaced, that you couldn't wash them. Thanks so much.

The Hepa filter on this model is hand washable, but should only need a clean about once a year according to the instruction book.

Roger, since bag less technology is notorious for a dusty exhaust smell, I was wondering how this one does? I have a Miele S8Unique and a Riccar Cordless upright. I enjoyed this review as I do all of your reviews. I enjoy how your outfit in some way complements the vacuum being demonstrated. Keep up the good work and look forward to your reply.

I have not noticed any smells coming from this cleaner as long as the filters are kept clean and the bin is emptied after each use.

The burgundy model comes with the pet turbo brush, but apart from that, it is the same as the blue model. I believe the green one comes with an extra mini hose. Go to Shark's website and click on what's in the box on the product page to see what's included.

You can get spares and additional accessories at very reasonable prices from Shark's website including the pet hair turbo brush.
