I have the Matzu which are basically the same mufflers and I had to repaint them after about 3 seasons. I do like the sound after the packing wears out.

It’s because of the chamber with cat on the right side if u use the S&S header you use the old size mufflers from 08 r 7 to 16 they do sound good but u can’t beat the Tab performance are the SVT boneshaker yea they r More money but damn sound good

I got some sharkroad slip on for my 2021 road king special the sound was good but the quality of the sharkroad is not all that good they rust pretty good

I had the same issue. This is the second set. They are ceramic coated and resist the salt and water better

Just curious here….. basically shark road mufflers don’t have packing? So… could I just gut the stuffing out of any muffler to make noise? Oh but the sound? What’s the worst you could do? Ruin a muffler and then have to do what your planning anyway? Lol
