I own a splashdown drone and was just in North Carolina. We were told that it was illegal to use any bait deployment devices from the beach in NC and that included drones.

We had hoped to use the drone, and we looked carefully at the rules regarding where and how far off the beach, or in the water, that you could drone from. We decided that it was not worth risking being banned from the beaches, on how an official will interpret those vague guidelines. I wish you luck, and hope that you can do it legally I would love to use my drone in North Carolina. I was sending this as a good faith warning in case you didnt know.

Yes. But not with this rig. I just put them on all my weights. If your going to drone this particular rig. I use a drop loop

Yea I like to use mustad demon 10/0, they rust, so I know the hook will just fall out, I've fished this rig on the pier, but yours is more fancy, and the steel part that I use is 1-2ft
