Look's to me like a greater hammerhead fin.

Everyone keeps saying that, but as the guy sitting almost on top of it, it wasn't a hammer. I thinks it's the angle making it look tall and slender.

Depends on the location, if off the NSW coast then likely a great white or tiger... even so,.. time to get out of Dodge!

Off Yeppoon, Qld. Had a good enough look to determine no stripes. Some big bulls and whalers out there. Never rule out a White, but didn't get a clear enough look for that.
