Very good review. You covered all of the major areas of concerns people are interested in. I'm getting the Stratus Tru-pet to replace our 5yr old shark Apex, even though it still works great. We've been vacuuming our homes for over 50 years and I've tried various brands. I'm convinced that shark makes the best vacuums, especially for the money.

How do you like it? We have a shark navigator upright left away. The hair gets tangled on the brush roll, annoying. Does this occur on this vacuum?

I have this vacuum. It is with out question the best vacuum I’ve ever used and that includes Dysons. My wife hates it. She says it is too big, too heavy, too noisy and too ugly. She says it sounds like a lawnmower. So, she doesn’t use it. She much prefers her Henry which is now redundant because I maintain the cleanliness of our floors, to a very high standard with my Sharp Stratos and Sharp 602 spin and scrub, steam cleaner.

I don't believe so. I'm not exactly sure what it's made out of now that I think about it. It's nothing fancy. Just a few spare bits I got at a local carpet store.
