The guy screwed a lot of customers, they all paid to get this product, but he kept delaying it, after 3 years people were asking for refunds, and he stopped replying, and the company took everyone's money and never shipped a single product and went dark after a few years

Nope. When Mark went out, the entrepreneur said that he's disappointment cause he would've been a great partner. That was genuine, and Mark astutely picked up on that (as usual). Then he was impressed how he stood his ground vs Kevin and kept his composure. He saw the passion, and he liked his business acumen especially when he talked about eroding all his equity. THAT was when Mark spoke up, and then Kevin make the "cry me a river" comment. Mark doesn't EVER invest with his ego, and this wasn't a pissing contest.

Luck doesn’t really have a lot to do with it. What he had was worth 5.7 billion. He had a ton of investors tell him it was only going up from there. So he asked himself two questions: 1) If everyone is doing it, there’s no money in it. Why does everyone think it’s going up from here? 2) If it’s only going up, why were they sold to me in the first place? His “luck” was being prepared and the being willing to take action.

This could have been a calculated move. They literally moved him from 5% to 25%, they made him think he was getting a good deal because Kevin started ridiculously high, which was intended, then Mark came in and "cut" down the offer 50% off from Kevin's deal. If it was calculated, it's genius, especially when I have a young entrepreneur who's nervous and is fighting for his future while the sharks are just looking to take another coin to add to their purse, they know how valuable Mark was to him, so he was the perfect candidate to swoop in and "cut him a deal".

Facts: the deal with Mark never closed. Pronto doesn’t have a working product to buy on the market. The Investors on Indiegogo have never received a product nor got their money back and most people are calling Pronto a scam. After 4 years, the ProntoBev product page isn’t showing any pricing but only the concept . Their official Twitter account has not been updated since 2018 with their Instagram or Facebook pages.
