It’s weird to see the two biggest blunders first and then a pretty good pitch. Pluto came in with a valuation they could barely justify, and then Lola came in with no sales. Those things will make sharks run faster than anything. The last company came in with good sales and a reasonable valuation so of course they got the deal they wanted with a good shark.

That's how businesses work. If they sell at cost they wouldn't make any money and would go out of business, leaving us with no product to buy. Although ideally they would get that $30 cost down to increase their margins, it shouldn't cost that much to make a pillow once they scale their business.

They've only made 490k in their current year and slightly more than 400k the year before. half of that went to materials and shipping and they have to pay 3 staff with the rest if an investor owned 5% they'd probably only get a return of 5-10k per year at the current sales

It takes literally 30 seconds to flip the comforter into the duvet. Lola will also have to immediately compete with Chinese Amazon businesses that have a complete disregard for quality and drive the price down with polyester against her 100% cotton.

I don't think so , i mean yes, they ask who are the sharks but not what type of pillow do they like or the product they sell for that matter. You get a lot of this information online.
