Mark won't let you listen to anyone else's deals to pressure you into accepting his. Lori counters with at least %25 no matter what the business is actually worth. Daymon belittles the business the whole time to make them accept a worse deal. Kevin always, and I mean always, lets them hear the other offers. He uses royalties to keep the equity lower than the other sharks (which is actually a fantastic deal for a company that is likely gonna need use that equity for future investment.) and he openly admits to making offers to squeeze the other sharks to give them better deals. I love it! I think it’s great that they have makeup options for men. And it’s cruelty free.

I’m so glad Mark is there to check Daymond’s snide, resentful, petty cheap shots.

Maybe someone can explain why big retailers tie up so much capital? Is it because they just don’t pay quickly or something?

Yeah usually if you aren’t a big brand, they have the leverage in negotiations. They either have a consignment deal or some kind of deferred payment plan. Either way they aren’t getting their money right away while already having spent money on producing and shipping the products out.

It's called net 60, or net 30. That means they don't pay the invoice until that time. Even then, you have to keep on top of them.
