Shark WANDVAC System Review

I own this vac. I purchased it for two reasons: 1.) it’s lightweight which was important to me since I’m a senior citizen, and 2.) it lies down flat so I can sweep under the beds. I don’t know of any other vacs that can accommodate the 7 inch clearance under a bed. The dust bin is small so you need to empty it often. It’s not meant for heavy duty cleaning. I use it in between more thorough cleanings, and of course for under the beds.

Bought this a few days ago. I didn't wait until it was fully charged to try it out. It did last about 10 minutes or so before the battery depleted. Power is not what I expected from a Shark, but, I was not surprised b/c it is a cordless. Bought it mainly because I was tired of dragging out the big vacuum, and we have three dogs that shed. Since I vacuum every day anyway, thought this would give my arms a break. So far, so good. Shark could have done better to find storage for the extra accessories (pet brush, etc). Maybe a compartment drawer under the base?🤔

This would probably be good for very, very quick vacuuming before guests arrive or for picking up cat litter and/or a quick zip over the kitchen floor.

You should have shown emptying the dust canister with it full of dirt so we can see if it empties easy enough

Thank you for all the information, should have watched this when I got the vacuum. Can you tell me what the black clip looking thing is on the front of the WS642. I thought it was to hold an attachment but I can't figure out how it works or if there is any purpose to it. Thank you

Thank you for this review. I didn't get the manual with mine only the quick start and I was wondering if it's OK to also clean the very inside of the dust cup. I ran water through it and I'm hoping it'sOK. .

How do I clean the cone shaped filter as this was not mentioned. assuming rinsing and let dry overnight? thanks for a reply. You know what? I’d think I’d like to hear consumer reviews of people that have bought this type but from different stores. The model number varies slightly.some stores sell them cheaper/others a tad more expensive. Looks like attachmentssound similar but by how much?

I've had this vacuum for 1 day. The little wheels in the corners are completely clogged with debris and will not roll anymore. I can't get the stuff out even with needle nose pliers. Very disappointed with that. Otherwise, it's a pretty good machine.

It doesn't have different settings for different floor types so I don't see how the floor surface can determine the battery life!

Personally I thought that was funny when he was sucking up all that hair at once not very many vacuums are gonna be able to handle that much hair at once anyways without getting clogged Pretty interesting I mean I guess if you're going around with chunks of hair on the floor you must need to be cleaning more often lol

Ever heard of a Riccar? I think you would be impressed with it compared to a shark of dyson as far as deep cleaning goes.

I don't think I'd like it for vehicles - looks like it would be awkward to maneuver in tight places. I think a hose is probably superior. (currently using the cordless Ryobi 3 gallon "Project Vac", which I like, although I wish it were fade-free like this Shark)
