@@8mssnowyx It's a lot easy to look out for them if you can read script but even if not, virus scripts typically have dodgey names. For example: some scripts could straight up be named virus whilst others have no names at all or just use a bunch of random characters.

As a game developer, I can confirm that, yes Free models can be dangerous. But, you can simply remove the viruses. If the model has any unnecessary scripts, or if it’s just like a model that doesn’t do anything, all scripts. Also remove any fire effects if the model doesn’t require fire. If your model says “Rofl”, then there is an unwanted script in it that needs removal. If your model catches fire, then that means there is a fire spreading script in there that needs to be removed. So you can use free models, just make sure you take a look through your model before publishing your game. Hope that helps anyone 🙂

Well you can use free models but just check for random scripts that are not needed. The model can have a script in it but just check the name or the script in general as they can be scripts that help the model work or the sketchy virus scripts so always pay attention to a free model script. True! I was working on Power Plant in Roblox studio. I was Refueling Systems designer. Somebody added free model and we found 295 Viruses that did spread to all parts! Sadly I got exiled. Not for that but I made some prank, but it had nothing to do with free models.

Free models are not bad, heres a way to combat them. Insert a sky, and then atmostphere (in that order) into lighting, it will give good graphics and get rid of the Green Fog Virus, the most common virus. For fire spreading scripts, simply find the fire script and delete it, if there is too many look at when the model was made, if it was made in 2012 or something the viruses wont work. Finding more solutions soon!

I’m actually a free modeler maker myself, however I try to keep all models virus free so you won’t have to deal with your games likely getting broken. Also the models are very popular and high in quality. I guess the one advice to do is not look anything up in the front page instead find your models through search and don’t trust models with scripts for models that don’t need it.

Shark blox when you check the models you just put in to see if they got viruses most of the time the virus is hidden so you won’t see it, and some viruses you put in your game give a notification to the creator of the virus so that they can come in your game with the epic trolling GUI and mess it up but it’s cool. Try out the baldi basics virus and there’s also a road virus but I forgot what it’s exactly called.

To clear roblox viruses heres what your need to do So the most common is the fire spread: to get rid of this open up the model if it has fire in it then check the script if it says something about "spread" then it will spread the fire. so if you come across it delete the fire and the script wich says spread and keep the model The 2nd common is the place teleporter: to get rid of this open up the script and if it says something about teleport and there is an id in the script deleate the script and keep the actual model. If you delete the script from the model the virus will go away! Hope theese tips helped!!

Best way to avoid viruses in roblox studio: if the free model has a script make sure to check it if theres something weird or inappropriate contents if you find something weird in the script delete the model immediately or its too late (if you dont delete it fast......you get Banned....it happened to me yesterday)

when i was new i always used free models but now i still do but back then i would never check them out and now i know a little bit of scripting so i can tell if there is a virus or not, if the chat in your game isnt working and its duplicated search up OBJ in explorer and delete that script, i had that issue with 2 models and it is a virus that breaks the chat
