I like how Dominus Impulse seems to be a particularly good fit in this deck, given that it has trap cards in-engine. These are among my favorite cards from the zexal anime, so it's nice that it retrained Shark Drake Veiss and their playstyle has evolved since BROL post-AGOV, and will evolve again post-ROTA.

Hi, Ive been playing sharks for years and loved the video! I always thought its ability to run a small maindeck package meant it would fit well into the current 15+ non-engine meta we seem to have, I would highly suggest having Nibiru at least in the side board. I cant tell you how many times Ive won games off of giving a 6k token to my opponent then kragen popping it for game. Overall super fun video!!

"Nibiru is still a problem because frequently you just don't draw the extenders" Dang, if only we werent required to play 19 non-engine... 😂Play some copies of Ready Fusion / Rare Fish, Beautunaful Princess, and maybe some simple extenders like Silent Angler / Sea Nettle that can extend you passed an Impem / Veiler over some of the hand traps or honestly even over the search spells, and you can also add in copies of the new Surface Aqua Jet with the higher body count to extend even further. Making Toad as summon 4 is so trivial with the new support, there really arent many reasons it shouldnt be happening every game. In my list ive been trying out White Mirror and White Circle Reef at one copy each and I really like both. Mirror especially is great if you summon a Big Jaws off of Buzzsaw Shark, so you not only get the search afterwards but ALSO can summon the second Big Jaws you added for free since you activated a spell. In case it isnt clear I LOVE this new support and have been playing it a ton online lol Cant wait for it to drop!

I think it's a bit disingenuous to only include the engine monsters, the spells and traps are just as important. Also, imo I think you should probably run some more engine in this deck anyways to prevent bricking, maybe something like Beautunal Princess or Chrystal Shark

Virtue stream and Kragen is a very good combo, being 4 pops. 1 from kraggen, 2 from trap, 1 from the spawn as trap can turn 1 monster water. And the kraggen/span pops are non-targeting. You can usually end on this, plus Toad, plus lancer with trap in grave, which is notably not enough for a deck that is not too consistent and mega folds to all interrupts and board breakers, and the pops are not well positioned vs the best decks right now. Best case hands you can end on Dweller, plus a random 4, to use the trap to dweller then hard make F0, now that IS crazy, and you have a full hand of follow up too and can make zeus. Unfortunately you only get here if you opened starter plus extender and don’t get interrupted, or have very specific extender per each interrupt, and you only have to lines of play, Buzz, or Big Jaw, if the both get stopped you’re not doing much, specially anything that removes the bodies. Explosive deck but it bricks so much and can’t play through disruption. Out-classed by other decks, and Now that Rayzeol exists, just the worst XYZ deck.

Best part about Shark especially on Master Duel is that I'm really broke on dust for hand traps so I just swap most of em for more Sharks and its really easy to XYZ Summon more and more cause just about every good Shark is a starter or extender. Buzzsaw Shark, Lantern Shark, Abyss Shark, Crystal Shark, even Right and Left Hand Shark if you really have nothing else. Plus all this new stuff coming out is gonna make it like borderline broken. I'm personally not a big Stealth Kragen guy and it might just be cause I still find appreciation for stuff like Nightmare Shark and Hope Woven Dragon Spider Shark, which I need slots for. I know people will say "but Stealth Kragen is the boss of shark." It's not named shark or a sea serpent card. I still consider Dark Knight Lancer the Shark boss. Also isn't Stealth Kragen literally used to try and beat up Shark in the anime? I also run the weird stuff like White Mirror, Sea Lord's Amulet, Poseidon Wave, and like Silent Angler.

This is where I'd put my Toad... IF I HAD ONE. Shark in MD has been pure copium ever since Frogs took the bullet for the sins of Spright Elf. Great intro! Also these cards are looking so close to being so good. That board off the Seventh Ascension was pretty sick. But… loses to Droll, loses to Nibiru, and for us Master Duel players, Toadally Awesome is still banned! I like these sharks though. I played with some of them recently in a Ghoti deck for the Wind & Water festival, and they were surprisingly good, but the number of bad cards with "Shark" in the name is enormous so it's good to see some more good ones printed. Dominus Impulse is also an interesting looking handtrap.
