Lets say mildly intimidate you because they have money and you want it. In basic terms investors will as you say screw you. Mostly because they can. But unfortunately that is the name of the game, here on Shark Tank. If you don,t want to be in this position. Don,t ask for any investment. Go it alone. That pressuring, to be honest, life changing moment of course he will take his time. That's just like telling someone to go view the house once and make the choice of buying or not buying on the same day. You can't go off thinking someone would make a decision so quickly, I don't know how long they were going at it but at the end of the day you would take your time because it's like going to buy a house. In all honesty I know he said he wanted to expand and everything and every person is different but I honestly think he is better off just doing what he is doing. Doesn't need to work much and have such a great return and making plenty of money, yes a shark can help him make millions, so shifting that the % he would get a lot more money most likely but he is going to have to put in a lot more effort, time and I'm sure a lot more pressure to keep the business going.I think he is just better off doing his own thing, have a lot more time in his hands and if he wants just get a part-time job or something.

ok at the point of the $237k mention of profit, then u normally would ask. what taxes are necessary to be paid overseas at the point of purchase? if the sales are all in aussie land then the local rates be the key, but if in EU beyond the VAT and its Input tax credits, what Income tax rates r involved? this would help let the potential investor/shark know how long it might take to get dividends out of the cruise zone ( tax rates vary). for example: u have to pay taxes before u can remove dividends and the locals in EU coin assume that since the sales and revenues be based off their zone of control, they have a coin right to tax and that lowers the cash on hand reserved for dividends. so even with a large profit ready for a retained earning account, the investor will still have to wait for the cash to be high enough on hand so there is cash to pay a declared dividend. In this case, the tax rates are Import ant but they will not affect the margins, only the time line to pay out the profits thru the use of a dividend. Thank you for this interesting upload.

If anybody in a business meeting ever gives you a countdown, cut them off before they get to nine. You don't want to work with that person

People are so tied up around the last 5-10%. He made it so hard to decide at the end , he still owns 75% of a business which is about to grow into a $10m business. Giving him $7.5m. Investors are greedy, but so are entrepreneurs

Has there ever been a time when all sharks went in on a deal? Greetings from the US 🎉

Let's see now: His business is growing, he is enjoying is free time, and no pressure from anyone else. These sharks just want a piece of his pie and he couldn't value what he has. The whole time, I was wanting him to walk away from it with how much they were seeking from his business. Imagine you do all the work and someone wants to take 1/4th of what you got and pretty much sit back.

yeah and they are no longer going to allow him to enjoy his free time because they are going to demand he put 60 hours a week into his business. Dude should not have gotten involved with the sharks which is a rare thing to say on the shark tank but in this case its a no brainer. Is the money really worth all your youth? This man has a great seasonal job that pays him very well to do whatever he wants for the very large remainder of the year. Plus the job was still growing at the time and he didn't have to answer to anyone. He was not desperate and he should not have just given away that much equity like that just to not be able to do what he loves anymore.

Sometimes it is hard to make decisions but maybe one should go through the options before appearing on the show!

I know I'm late to the party, but do you not realize these are hour to three hour pitches condensed into 10 minutes that you see? How do you not understand it's edited in post just for dramatic effect? Also, this negotiation probably went for hours. Are ya'll really that naive? Apparently
@isaiahnoll2012 жыл бұрын
Just a reminder. These pitches are anywhere from 1-3 hours

These 5 sharks have the best chemistry. You feel at home when you see them on the show. If one of them is absent it's really bothers me.

I love all these comments about Glen’s countdown when ALL the US sharks do it all the time 😅🦈

think Glen felt annoyed the owner was ignoring his offer. most times he seems a decent guy.

Its a major rip doh this always happens.. Two sharks will go in together SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE so they are only forking out. 80K each. But they are also getting more equity in the company... I've seen them do this so many times..
@silverbackpauly48144 жыл бұрын
Sad he didn’t counter either for 15% or request more money for the 20%. Just slightly more so it’s not a valuation of 900k...
@midnightgrinder7684 Жыл бұрын
They agreed on 180K for 25% in the end, not 20%, so the valuation was 720K

2 year. Return. Assuming 300k profit per year and 720k valuation. But if business grows, because od the sharks, good for him.
