Man, my heart went out to that Wisp guy. Such a great product but so many bad business decisions. You can hear it in his voice and right at the end when he puts his head down and starts sweeping while basically being scolded broke my heart. I couldn't agree more with the Sharks that he is the product guy and he needed someone else to be the business guy. I loved Mark's comment about owning a basketball team but knowing better than to put himself on the court. That's what business is all about. I did look it up and it seems that his business might be thriving and he has a whole suite of products now on the website. So, hopefully that means he's thriving now.

You people are pure first class MORONS, just like that guy. Barbara, the "wonderful woman" told him "nicely" to basically F off without 1 cent and then lectured the guy who was giving him $500k. Although it seems (according to some comments) that "later" she did help him a bit by promoting, which frankly after this episode wasn't need cos the product was really good and the episode was promotion enough. But at that moment of the show, the ONLY guy who showed him any "compassion" or "respect" was Kevin by basically offering to bail him out and help him with the money and business.

Passion and desperation ... that's what worked for me. When you don't have options and you HAVE to make it work, it's amazing what any individual is able to accomplish. You have at least 16 hours a day, 112 hours a week. Most people only wanna work 40 of them, no weekends and have to be home by dinner. I have some thoughts on the Be Somebody guy. Daymond's reason, too much liability, would literally be offset by the same type of waiver that trampoline places and ninja warrior gyms, and bungee jump, skydiving ect already use. Basically most outfits that sell an "adventure experience." They have those ironclad waivers of responsibility. So liability wouldnt be an issue if he forgot about making his talent in the platform get liability insurance to be on the platform. You are not going to get much new talent lined up that way. Just go the waiver route. But he came in cussing, yelling at the sharks, and you have to read the room. Mark is the type that considers himself macho. So immediately when somebody comes in hollering, cussing, and and saying "im calling YOU out," to a panel of arrogant (yes arrogant) sharks, its an L. First and last mistake.Psychologically, you went from a position of challenge instead of a position of collaboration. If you challenge them, at least one or all of them will show you why they are called sharks. They didnt like his challenging and confrontational tone, I guarantee it. L
@terrellfair9812 Жыл бұрын
I think that's read to much into it. The reason they got on him is because he couldn't answer basic questions. When daymond asked the question its other purpose was just to gauge how much forethought he was putting into his business and his ability to predict situations. He didn't explain how he'd make money or really how the business worked at all. He just essentially said I made a hashtag invest in me.

People are the most expensive things in the world. This makes liability the most expensive thing in the world. It doesn't matter what waivers you have someone sign. If a father of 4 gets killed in an accident, that's a lawsuit big enough to shut down a company like this.

The sharks never gave him a chance to listen either. They were speaking over each other like little kids. their egos were bruised after someone finally called them for caring more about money than people.
@chrispan3033 Жыл бұрын
The guy's approach was horrible but the Sharks were dropping one by one because it was the fact he couldn't give any facts. The dude is all talk and no substance. Like it or not, Mark is a top dog, especially on the show. Look past their individual personalities and look at the businessman/businesswoman they are. None of those people are going to like being challenged by a young entrepreneur who is walking on the show looking for their help. It's like someone trying to educate you on something you know for a fact you are more experienced and knowledgeable about. Person gets annoying FAST if they refuse to listen.
