Most Indian brands including oyo, boat etc are all aimed at budget friendly products and svcs. That's most of the market - masses in India still look for cheap, value products......as India grows, hopefully, people will be willing to pay more for branded, high quality products but that's not the current state of the market in India. Sasta, tikau products, cheap, poor customer service, low warranty -- that is the model in India but we have billions of people so you can still make decent business in India Also, most of these pitches (barring a few) are just copy of American business ideas - they just copy those products, go to chinese manufacturing, create cheap, knock off products and then sell....

Hostel business is good but disheartening truth is this a direct interlinked industry you cannot retain a student or a resident in your app , I have been to hotels via apps booked just for one day and talked directly to the owners or at the reception it saves my commission money straight away which is paid to oyo by the hotel , even I save the tax to be paid + i negotiate and take disocounts over the top i take a Cp plan So for me this Oyo or this app thing is just a tool to check the services of a hotel. It's collaborated tool for all the hotels in a single place mmt and oyo or any other app only earns for a day from me not more than that😂😂😂😂
