This was my cats favorite video. She bit me three times so she could watch it more. Without the cats in the cafe meowing she got to really enjoy without being scared. We have a surprise for her on Saturday, we're letting her pick out a buddy from a shelter.

I've been there! Went after visiting the Ghibli museum. But it was a weekday before the summer holidays in Japan started so I walked in with no reservation and it wasn't too crowded. I loved it there!! I also got to see the cat feeding session at around 7pm and it. was. magical.

The way they designed the exterior and interior of the cafe is just so amazing~! These are some of the most loved cats ever, and I love how they put so much into it for the cats. There is a cat cafe here in Vancouver but it's also a place where people can adopt the cats who 'work' there. Thank you so much for showing us this, Sharmander, I enjoyed this video so much I wish I could leave more than just 1 like : )

I went to this cat cafe when I visited Japan in April this year. The decor inside is so cool and the cats are really sweet. I like that they didn't seem too stressed out by the people. You actually sat in the same seat as me! However it was less busy when I visited around early afternoon before going to the studio Ghibli musuem!!

I’ve been there! My first cat cafe experience at nekobukuro was so disappointing, but this place was so awesome! The food is cute and the employees bring the cats to you so you have a chance to pet them. Also, Kichijoji is such an underrated place in Tokyo!

tori sorry, I don’t know how to reserve. I went with a Japanese friend during the cheaper time in the evening, and she took care of the admission. I know that lot's of foreigners slightly judge the idea of having animal themed cafe's but it's really not easy to have pets in your apartment because lots of landowners don't allow it and as most of you guys know, to pet a cat and play with it can relief lots of stress and be even therapeutic. So as long as the cats feel save and are taken good care of I think it's good concept. The only thing I don't like is keeping wild animals, that's cruel in my eyes. Thank you so much Sharla for filming this one 💕

Totally agree with the wild animal part. I saw an Owl cafe and that was just wrong in my eyes! I saw a hedgehog cafe as well which is not right, due to them being asleep in the day and awake at night. So they were interrupting their natural balance!

I hope that someday they see what a mistake it is and close the wild animal ones. The owls for example look so lethargic, it really makes me sad.

Dogs sound nice too, but I hope they don't feature big ones, walk them at least three times a day and give them short "shifts" :-)

Love it! Sadly we couldn't get into a cat cafe when we visited in November because we didn't book in advance and were turned away. My husband found us an owl cafe which was just as awesome. I hate when ppl say these places are cruel but to me these places give comfort, warmth, food and attention to these cats. They have a place to live and are looked after daily. Japanese cats are absolutely gorgeous!

When I was in Tokyo last year I went there because I knew about it from that 'Girls' episode. I guess I was really lucky because I had no reservation but it was not very crowded :) Also some really nice people gave us their leftover cat treats when they left. It was a very nice experience. They also have a gift shop with a lot more merchandise (I got a very cool sticker of that cat with the... 'bashed in' face) but it's not in the same building. So don't miss that!

My fiance and I went here when we were on vacation! There were maybe 10 people there total, so it was nice and quiet. Most of the cats were either sleeping or didn't feel like being pet much that day, but it was still a really great couple of hours. If you go back, you have to try to meet Chiffon, she was my favorite cat there! :)
