My favorite is trying out foreign snacks and says that Dutch licorice tastes like cat piss. Im always laughing hard. And it is indeed a traumatizing flavor to taste on a candy. Very relatable.

@@MxPotato84 I find it funny when americans call licorice "punishment candy". I'm a dutch old school lolita with a licorice addiction. I don't buy it otherwise I would no longer fit into my favorite clothes.

Sharla: "Okay, let's go get something to eat." He can sense a restaurant visit form a prefecture away. That is a bona fide superpower. EDIT: The subtitles are great! It is especially neat to see Chris speaking Japanese, since he is so shy about it in his videos.

@@BabaYaga-uc3gb Great pair, but Connor Dawg Virginia and Chris both bring out the whiny British in each other. Natsuki, and definitely Sharla, counterbalance, and don't feed into, the whiny British part of Chris. Connor and Chris are good, hence their relationship, but Connor is best with the boys and Chris is best with these two. That's just my opinion, but maybe it's a hot take.

I don't know how you resisted that cat store, just from the footage you showed, I would have been hard pressed not to buy at least one thing. > . < I haven't started my journey into learning Japanese yet, but I plan to soon, so those subtitles will come in very handy I am certain.

Not only did you get to hang out with the super star but also...stores with only cat stuff...I love it! Thanks for the video! This is so nostalgic for me! My grandma lives right around the corner from The Mall. Whenever I’d go back to Japan and stay with her I’d spend my days at the Mall. I’m being flooded with so many memories! I remember going to that exact pet shop (I think it’s at the bottom level of The Mall 2) with me mum, and wanting to get all the cat toys for my two kitties back in aus. Ahh, I miss Sendai so much! The double subtitling is pretty cool. I'm actually in college studying linguistics to be a kinda translator/social worker focusing on work with other languages, with Japanese being one of the ones I'm studying, and in an odd way, this actually is helping me see my progress. I noticed that I'm instinctively able to read all of the Kana and even most of the Kanji without thinking about what they mean or needing to look at anything for reference. So, yeah, pretty cool idea!
