A love triangle in which nobody wins yet everyone is a winner so bittersweet like life it self. I watched with zero expectations my mother-in-law recommended it and I ended up loving so much! The pillow talk scene with Arthur was so tender you feel so conflicted you can’t root for either guy because they are both right for her. You feel bad for everyone involved the movie ends and you can’t help but to wonder what will be of them. If not in this life the next one.

the first time I saw this film I was too stunned to pay attention to the ending credits. like many around me I was reeling from the emotional, albeit pleasant gut punch I had just taken. I sat for several minutes trying to collect myself before getting shooed out by theater workers (side rant: be a kind creature and throw away your trash. you’re on your way out anyway and it’s a small act on your part that is a big help to underpaid workers) the 2nd time I knew what was coming and I had a different, still thoroughly enjoyable, experience. as the ending credits are rolling I turn to my friend to ask what they think - WAIT IS THAT SVE?!! I didn’t need google to confirm my suspicions and I looked anyway. mind you, during the Wild Hearts Tour last year I happily took my middle-aged body, bones, flesh and all from the very top of the grass section down to the floor and pushed my way towards the front of the stage so SVE could yell “I KNOW THAT YOU’RE GONNA BE!” at me personally. it was glorious that I didn’t notice one of my all-time faves singing the ending credits song is a testament to how breathtaking this movie is, how deeply it got under my skin go watch Past Lives at least once, in theater if you can. how it lands for each person depends on where they are at that moment in life, so this movie will hit differently for every one of us. what a marvelous experience to have

The ending hit close to home. I had a "whirlwind romance" complete with the moon at night by the sea in southern Spain. When we parted it was the longest and loneliest flight back home.When I saw this great movie, I suddenly was propelled to that time long ago, so bittersweet.🤔

Funny were 11 yrs old and I didn't know this but I fell in love with suzy yancey in peoria Illinois we were at greely elementary and from one day to the other we packed up and left I've never forgotten her I've looked everywhere I could she was originally from Arkansas the end got me cause what if she cried for me and I hurt her I wish I could see her one last time to see how her life turned out and if she's happy and safe and to say I'm sorry and wish her the best and that i didnt abandon her and that shes always been with me in my heart soul and mind i miss her even now ill always love her!
