QUESTION 1: If you send out this form to several staff to fill out, once you get them back, how do you collect all their individual answers (from several employees) into a single Excel sheet database? Before you even distribute the form: 1 Create a new sheet with a table that you will use to add up all the answers together. 2 Give that table a name, and add a column for every answer you want to aggregate. 3 Report that answer from the "Form" sheet, either by referencing that cell, or giving it a name and referencing that name. When people fill in your form, that table should populate with their answers in an easy-to-aggregate form. Now, put all the excel files that are returned to you in one folder. Create a new Excel file to aggregate answers outside of that folder, and go to Data>Get Data(Power Query)>From a File>Folder and select the folder with all your Excel files. Select the name of the table you named in 2. Now all of the data will be pulled together into 1 single table. Bonus: you can add or delete files from the folder, and when refreshing your query, this will be reflected. To transform/filter data, read more about Power Queries. I'm late to answer, but hope it helps.

I enjoyed your tutorial! I followed along and was able to complete the project, it looked just as yours did! Your instructions were clear and understandable, your pace was unhurried and easy to keep up with. As an educator in Special Needs Education for 40 years, I know how important those qualities can be in teaching those who may not be as well versed in working with computers and software programs. I've seen quite a few tutorials on You Tube, some of them are very good, like yours, and others are, for me at least, hard to follow. The host either speaks too fast, or moves through steps too quickly with little explanation of what he/she is doing and why. Some of them know their subject so well that they forget that the person viewing their tutorial may not be as knowledgable. True, they can stop and repeats parts they miss or need help with, but I' for one, don't want to have to constantly go forth and back. After viewing this video, I'm encourage to viewm others by you! People below are asking about populating the answers. I did a project 20 years ago populating the answers behind the scene in the same workbook, with one click you see all the answers and calculations. My problem is I lost my backup of my project, and don't remember how I set up. I am trying to remember. I do remember that I even wrote down the password, the name of the Manager to whom I made the project. The original project was done manually by somebody 17,000 questionnaire forms with 50 questions in word format. Each question has 5 answers. I had to assist the dept to retrieve the data/results of the questionnaire. So I decided to set up another method to replace the original manual labor project. I transferred everything to excel. After I accomplished the set up, it was a breeze, you open the answered form, and done. Saved a lot money, fatigue, and time. I just don't know where I put the backup disk, I saved in a floppy disk, even if I find it, where I am going to insert the flipflop disk, unless I go to those antique computer store and ask them to retrieve it. I have a habit not to backup my project inventions, a great procrastinator.

"Shawn Spencer - Communications" LOL! Love all the Psych callbacks. You didn't give poor Lassie a title. :D I was looking for a form to input data into a spreadsheet for later data analysis. In the case of your employee engagement survey, you'd want to record the responses. For my needs, I want to build a db for my beehives. Inspection date, queen present Y/N, Honey yield, that sort of thing. Something that can easily be manipulated with a tablet out in the apiary.
