What if you don't have any sand paper? What can I use?
@DialedInDIY5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. Starting around 1:40 I mentioned some other options that work including aluminum foil. It seems counter intuitive but it does work. I appreciate you watching my video and taking the time to post your question!

I was getting ready to do this to a paper cutter at work, and a friend told me that he'd bring in his blade sharpener, and that this would work, if I were a caveman and had no other choice, LOL. But truthfully, I'm going to try it on scissors at home!

That actually got a good laugh out of me... I guess I'm a caveman (LOL). But in all seriousness, if you own a good blade sharpener then you might as well use it. I have actually compared scissors sharpened with sandpaper to a blade sharpener and not found much difference. But I still wouldn't use sandpaper on my surgical sheers...just sayin'. Thanks for the comment and for watching my video!

It won't work for my fabric scissors 🙁🙁🙁😭😭

Oh no... how coarse was the sandpaper that you tried? To be honest, I have not tried these approaches with fabric sheers but it should work... at least pretty well. For sharpest effect I usually take a couple of coarse pieces of sandpaper first and then gradually get to a finer grit (the finer the grit the smoother the edge)
