Don't forget that APT has a focus aid utilty. It helps. As you already have a computer controlling your mount and camera, the next step is to add an electronic focuser. The benefits are huge. Here are three: Exact focus every time, Automatic refocus at set times and/or changes in temperature, so you can get more sleep, It is impossible to forget to remove the Bahtinov mask. I just picked up a second hand Lakeside for £60!

An electronic focuser could be another video that I will make but I will need to try it out myself and buy one then I can explain everything. Good idea and valuable advice thanks!

I’ve made two Bahtinov masks on my 3d printer, one fits the lens hood on my Nikon and a large one fits my Celestron Nexstar 9.25
