I used a karambit i bought off the tool truck yesterday to make a large box fit in the bin at work. Thing went through that box like nobody’s business.

It is not sharp at all. The paper test showed that. After such sharpening the knife will never be sharp because you did not get rid of the wire from the blade with the leather. Other, round stones and leather strips are used to sharpen such knives.

I cut thru a piece of chinese supposedly "nylon" cable with mine yesterday only to realize that it didn't go thru all the way because for some reason the nylon had a really solid wire core. It did cut thru but the inner core really dulled the middle of it.
