I slowed things down a little. And tried to get my elbow in this video to show how I gradually increase angle.

Your wrist control is incredible. That stuff looks easy but takes years to get down! Your videos are truly priceless, thank you for posting so many useful tips and tricks ❤️

Thank you 🙏. I have now had to learn to maintain control while having shaky hands.

I would love to see some bench stone videos.

Awesome! It is on my list. I did a couple and realized that I get in a zone and wasn’t talking so I never posted them. I usually have some kitchen knives come in this time of year, but I haven’t yet. If I get a few I will make a point to do some bench stone stuff. If not I will try to make time and do some other fixed blades or folders on bench stones after the holidays

@@GunnysSharptalk I would appreciate it. I can only use my right arm. I can't find a guided system I can use. I'm strictly oil stones, Arkansas or diamond.

Gritomatic sells an aftermarket 4" and 6" stone holder under the KME accessories category. With this and a couple of your favorite stones and you've got a great field kit that is much safer in hand. 20 bucks for the clamp. That's cheap compared to a finger or a thumb being sliced off. Thanks for sharing the video.

I have been doing this long enough I am not worried about cutting myself. Others I always caution

This is how I sharpen my knives most of the time. It’s so much faster than using my edge pro.

Oh definitely faster. That’s how I sharpen most of the time.

I started out trying to freehand but didn’t have any luck. Then I went edge pro and with time was getting great edges. So now all my stones are edge pro so I just started just using the stone. Now I can get better results Stone in hand. Love the videos!

I learned when I was a kid stone in hand. I have now been sharpening for over 30 years and I have learned to sharpen as many ways as I can. I find stone in hand the most versatile and intuitive for me. For most it’s more difficult to learn, but I have sharpened that way longer than any other way.

I hate it when they get super steep at the tip. It just makes the whole thing so much more tedious a PIT* I just happened to naturally learn to sharpen stone in hand. Using a stone holder and sharpening in the "traditional way" was never something that was very comfortable for me. Ive since forced myself to learn that way but stone In hand will always be my go to. Not many guys sharpenening in this style. Great video as always. Pumped to get that gunny glide, that is if I can even get a bottle before it sells out 😁

Thanks. Same to you. These Gunny Juice Polycrystalline Diamond Emulsions really took off. So I haven’t had a chance to upload much. I have several videos that I need to get uploaded.
