If you get lost at functions, and it doesnt appear or you get invalid function, jsut go to last node of the function and right clikc > set this as output node

Thanks! I probably forgot to mention that

NP! But thats the point of learning: let people find out few things on their own :)

I don't know why, but this was so much easier to understand than like any other tutorial.

I am looking for a way to generate different color texture for every tile rather than multiplying the glue/grout mask on top of a color texture. Is there a way to do it in substance designer?

Thanks for this tutorial it helped a lot with my game art project :)

Thanks a lot for your tutorials! They're among the best. Just... maybe you could go to the Color branch before the normal, AO and roughness ones. If we output the color at the end, it's really difficult to see the little progresses of the previous outputs. Again, I'm loving your textures

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind, I usually cover it like I create it, since I go from what ends up to be height, normal, and from the normal the curvature and AO are usually 2 nodes.

Hello ! Thank you very much for this very interesting and enjoyable tutorial! I've learned a lot but I'm having a little problem with the pixel processor. It gives me an error saying "No output node defined" and I get a black image without the texture. (Instead of random node tiles, I used a tiles sampler, is that why?) If you have any ideas, I'll take them!

Thanks for the video - very helpful. I wanted a copy of the pixel processor, but noticed that your Patreon page is down. You also mention a video about the pixel processor that I can't find. Is there any way I can get a copy of this pixel processor? It would come in very handy with the tile materials I create. Thanks.

Great tutorials, would be cool if you could just sometimes disconnect and reconnect the aspects you're working on without viewing only the end result. Perhaps through Base Material. I'm blocked on the pixel processor code and i can't find it, where did you get it?

To be more precise, my graph seems to be right, but I get "invalid funcion: no output selected"
@isjtarjr8 жыл бұрын
Found it, if anyone else has this problem, you need to right click the Sample Color node and select "set as output node".
@sharpstance14178 жыл бұрын
I avoid doing that because my pc is towards the mid range so it doesn't necessarily likes doing changes on high resolution while recording too. But in any case, all of this are open to your own artistic interpretation, I'm just covering what I did. Basically after you've nailed down the basic shape, everything else is open ended

I created the Pixel Processor function but have no idea how you created Input1, when I add a Samples Gray node, there is only a input image 0 there.
Do you have nodes plugged to the pixel processor? In any case you can have the exact same result with a directonal warp and you won't have to mess with the processor. You can also download the sbs from my patreon page, it's free

thanks Ill download that and check it out. I have another question. I was trying to get the Tile Randoms edges to be very thin like you have it but the edges are thick, I even set the pattern specific to 0. Thanks for the quick replies. If you can ever do tutorials from scratch instead of breakdowns would help out a lot. Great work either way.
