When I was in the 4th grade here in the U.S., Title IX went into effect, and co-ed public school physical education became mandatory. It was HORRIBLE. Mixing of sports activities for boys and girls of elementary school age ended up with girls incurring loads of injuries - including myself when I look a large kick ball to the face, which had been hurled by a same age boy. This combining of the genders was purportedly done in furtherance of equality between the sexes - except that where physicality is concerned, THERE IS NO SUCH THING. You’re completely correct that America is behind in this regard. Whoever thought this was a good idea should be ashamed of themselves!

There has been a habit of certain males to enjoy experiencing the self-imposed identification with feminine characteristics, probably dating back millenia. That should not be allowed to achieve some sort of double- identity "to suit". It is a personal choice according to the strength of the feeling (mental and physical) for feminine traits and garb that appeal to the person concerned. As for competing in sport, the physical differences from birth are there to be defined and recognised. What I find odd is the fact that the girls who objected to sharing a changing room with a male were sent to see a psychiatrist. Parents you need to understand if your child is having difficulties with life, it may be wise to consider choosing very carefully who you expose your children too as if the person who monsters sent the morally justified too, in order, to convince them by virtue of the title, psychiatrist and that the dangers of undressing in front of a man with issues, isn't justified, is all you need to know. I remember an Olympics where all the ladies won a gold medal except the eldest who won bronze. Journalist asked if she was a bit jealous. They had just discussed how incredibly difficult it had been to get there combining work and training. She said no because she had spent her whole career striving for 4th or 5th behind the East Germans, and bronze was amazing. The dedication it took to just be 4th or 5th her whole life blows my mind.
