Funnily, I'm very pleased they changed it. I'd rather have more variety in hand types since it gives you more "expressions" you can do. I think double thwipping was a must (and thankfully I believe they've done that with all three) but otherwise I'm glad we got more variety. Imagine not being able to have him wind up a punch.

Pretty sure Hasbro didn't include the unmasked heads because Andrew has some weird likeness rights issues. That's why every company is releasing Andrew's unmasked heads under TASM2 (this new Marvel Legend, Hot Toys, etc..). The 3-pack was marketed under NWH, so it would've been odd to have Tom and Tobey with unmasked heads and Andrew to not have one, so just better to not include heads with any of em

Yeah, Sony in general is just really fucky with the rules, I mean the Doc Ock is under the Spider-Man 2 banner and Andrew is under the Amazing Spider-Man 2 banner, but everything else is under the No Way Home banner. I think Hasbro genuinely was running into issues with the licenses for the faces, and it wasn't just them being greedy.

And the fact some accessories like hands and webs are exclusive to the three pack and aren’t in the carded releases comes off as greedy and really rubs me the wrong way.

I have both the SHF and Hasbro Tobey and without a doubt SHF is better. But with Hasbro's i'm more inclined to mess with it as it's not so expensive and the plastic is more play friendly imo. My Hasbro Tobey actually has pretty good web lines. They're not the accurate color, but the lines themselves are nice enough. Still weird to me how the Andrew/Tobey figures have 1 less set of hands than the Tom one's.

Completely agree with this I have the three pack and all the shf spider-men and even though I like the shf a lot more the ones I play with are the hasbro ones because I don’t wanna break my fancy figs lol. Either way I’m happy with what we got although Tobeys proportions on hasbros end is the one thing I find odd. Still a fun figure to pose.

A very slight difference I haven't seen people mention is the fact that the new figure actually has a black spider and lenses. The version from the 3 pack uses a very dark gray. I don't know which is more accurate but hey, options.

The eye frames are black while the spider symbol is the same as the webs, maybe a tad bit darker, not sure. That's how it was in the film. So with the eye frames, this one is more accurate while with the spider symbol it's the 3-pack one.

Tobey is my Spider-Man! He was the closest thing to the Dave Micheline and Sal Buschema Spider-Man that i grew up with! The problem with this figure, is the same with the 3 pack one; the lack of boot rotation and or ball hinge and swivel at the foot like the Netflix Daredevil so he can get into better Spidey poses. Unfortunately I have to only give this figure a SUD rating of... I LOVE IT!

In your lighting the new head sculpt looks to have some of the Spider-Man 3 'emo' shadow around the eyes. Makes me want a Raimiverse symbiote suit ML even more. But I may just impulse buy this since I skipped the 3-pack and it just looks like a fun figure overall.

I personally can't wait to get all three of these movie Spider- Man Marvel Legends especially the Toby Maguire Spider-Man. The reason for why I am so excited to get the figure is he is my personal favorite he is the one I grew up watching while also seeing the reruns of the 90's animated Spider- Man cartoon. Those two things made me the Marvel fan I am today. I can understand the frustrating that collectors have who have already brought the three pack, but because I did not I am glad to get a opportunity to get the figure. Enjoy the video.

I’m just so disappointed with the quality of this figure. The red texture is inaccurate, the web painting is extremely sloppy, and the sculpt is just awful. 0 definition or shading in the legs and that mask looks even worse than it did in NWH. Hasbro is clearly capable of amazing quality, as the green goblin, doc ock, and Andrew Garfield figures are fantastic in this wave. Tobey keeps getting the short end of the stick

The theory on why they didn’t do the unmasked head in the 3 pack is because they couldn’t do the Andrew one with them due to some weird licensing, that’s why his figure is labeled ASM2 just like the new Hot Toys one and why I think it was MAFEX or was it SH Figuarts that canceled the Andrew head

It was pretty much a dick move on Hasbro overall. The 3pack with no Peter heads was because they have the molds done but probably my guess is they havent' gotten the actor likeliness approval yet so they released the Spidermen plus a repaint of the Tom Holland Spidey just to get some money out of some impatient suckers. And once the Peter heads are all done, they throw in the end scene costume for Tom's version. And somehow it's like someone from Mattel moved to Hasbro with the "Gotta piss off the fans" motif and have the spiderman repacked with the Peter head but less hands, bare bone accessories. Because just like back in the old Mattel DC days, this is "Good enough". DOn't need to try too hard.

just to compare the unmasked heads, i heavily prefer the ML head over Shf. i have always thought tamashii has been terrible at making 'real' people, sometimes the sculpt is pretty close but they always find a way to make them look muddy and gross, specifically with the paint/face printing. the ML head, while not entirely accurate to NWH, is just so much cleaner that it's difficult for me to not prefer it, it doesn't look like melted wax like the shf one does.

The Tobey head sculpt just doesn’t look very good to me which is sad because he’s still my favorite Spider-Man. Hasbro perfectly nailed Andrew’s likeness, but I think Tobey was a complete miss. Some people are saying the same about the Charlie Cox Matt Murdock figure, but I think that one is much more accurate than the Tobey head sculpt. It’s sad too because I don’t really imagine us getting Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man again unless they eventually make the symbiote version from Spider-Man 3 which I would definitely buy

🤷🏽‍♂️ can't you just use the three pack hands on there? And this us a subset line, its not the main line Marvel Legends. The selling point is the blister card, not the accessories or a BAF. With these blister cards sets there's never been accessories or BAF parts. Im not getting theses i dont like displaying heroes with out the masks, but only on the pizza Spidey i wanted an unmask Spider-Man to go with my MJ. ill be getting the three pack Spider-Man.
