This is very much an upgrade from the toybiz but yes the leg articulation was better on toybiz but the body proportions are so much better on this figure. The head sculpt is a huge improvement. My main issue is I wanted a purple Drybrush on this which I may do myself

No figure is perfect. But I feel you gave the BlackHeart rating a liitle too low. Most collectors will agree this BlackHeart is by far leaps and bounds ahead over the Toybiz version. Kudos to the Toybiz one, it had more paint for sure, but it look skeletal and the awkward points of articulation. This new one has better sculpt, better articulation, yes if it had the rocker ankles it would be perfect, this part lies with the marvel team fault. Even Anthony customs gave this figure a positive feedback. But I digress, to each his own opinion. I do think this is one of the best baf / marvel legends figures of 2024.

You can tell the hasbro team doesnt care enough. With little small changes the figure could be so much better. For example dracula, a change in the neck articulation and the torso would make it so good but they dont care

I agree this wave was underwheling. Imo the better figures are Damien Hellstrom, Dracula, and Lilith. I"m keeping the three i mentioned along with Brother Voodoo. Tbh i bought the wave just to build Blackheart.

This is a great baf. Been waiting years for this one! It looks like a heavy retooled movie venom. Good articulation, maybe just the feet is bad. And tbf we don't get any dry brush, wash on any other recent baf.

I’m not that familiar with Blackheart or the horror side of Marvel either but I like how they round out a “mystic” shelf. I like the BAF but he definitely was somewhat difficult to assemble with all the spikes. Hoping we see a Mephisto soon!

It's not a re-tool of venom, it is an all new sculpt as informed by Dwight of the marvel team.

Yeah this was a serious let down for me as well. Those ankles, and that's scary upper torso cuts. Trying to turn that thing feels like it's going to snap in half. I feel like he's going to have to sit either in a standing, or interpose where I have him on a flight stand

I'm pretty much passing on this wave altogether since, like you, not too knowledgeable about the more horror-ish supernatural side of Marvel. The current Hulk run is pretty much the most I've delved into it. LAter on, maybe I'll check out that WCA Moon Knight, and perhaps Blackheart since he IS a regular in the Capcom Vs games.

Such a bummer man. The sculpt overall is much better than the Toybiz version but then it’s overshadowed by the lazy paintjob and the lack of articulation on the feet. Foot articulation is quite possibly the most important of them all because not being able to properly pose the feet makes the figure look awkward. And to think you have to buy an entire wave of figures just to end up with this letdown is a joke. Hopefully they’ll rerelease him as a solo figure and at least fix the articulation problem.

Dude went senile lmaoo. My favorite part was him putting it next to the toybiz and how obviously bad the toybiz looks in comparison and hes like "idkkkkk" lmao. Bruh went crazy lmao. That toybiz just looks like hot garbage now Also im definitely glad they made Blackheart one shade lol because thats how he looks in the comics and they state that multiple times. I think people just get confused with how they have to highlight in different colors sometimes so we can actually see the character. But yeah he's Blackheart not Purpleheart. If anything he should have been Darker but i can see why they didnt do that.
