The fact is that exlcusionary thinking was, and will continue to be, the root of division. Even if a small seed exists, exacerbating the issue and then expressing vindication is hardly a very compelling view.

23:08 I am from UP and I would never want Hindi to be national language, its okay as an official language. It is not even the mother tongue of most people even in the so called Hindi belt. Its just a language of convenience otherwise, what's the use of it? Its not used in higher education, its not our ancient language or ceremonial language (Sanskrit), its not even used in conservation nowadays, see, you are debating in English, we are commenting here in English. And with advancement of technology, it has become so easier to communicate with different language people. Given his investment and finance background, Harsh Gupta Madhusudan indeed surprises the viewer with his incredibly vast knowledge of India's past as well as with his razor-sharp reasoning while contending for an edge over an erudite intellectual heavyweight like Shashi Tharoor. Many Hindu zealots feel that Tharoor is on the wrong side of partisan fence and one wonders if they are totally wrong. I admire Tharoor for speaking his mind fearlessly whatever the forum may be. A colleague of mine and I were the only two participants from the Middle East at the conference,) I also agree with the perception of the participants that education ministry is the least priority ministry of the Union Government, which became amply clear the day Mrs. Smriti Irani was made the HRD minister. She may be a great orator, maybe even a great administrator, but this non-graduate alumna of the School of Open Learning (Delhi University) had not worked even for a day in the field of education--let alone being an academician--before straightway becoming the education minister of this country. I certainly don’t mean that her successors after her 2-year stint in the HRD ministry were significantly better or, for that matter, even most of her predecessors. Extremely sad!

Temples income is taken by govt. If someone does not believe in God it may be a small matter for them. But for people who donate to temples for doing good for hindus then it will matter if their money goes to Muslims. Hindus are feeling insecure for many reasons. Most criminals in jails are Muslims, not just in india but across world. . They dominate underworld harass Hindus. Many anti social elements come from muslim community. Hinduism is all about acceptance and peaceful living and this is what we have been doing since independence. But here, people are not united, for example, North and South India. We identify ourselves on the basis of religion and the land we are born. Uniform civil code might not be successful in India due to caste and creed. Nehru's idea of securlism was right, we need to stay with it or come with something which is acceptable by all religions and people. India is a diverse country.

What is Hindutva? India as a Nation was not born on August 15 1947, India is a continuing civilization with a Milleniea old Continuity more than a few thousand years lived civilizational experience. However when the philosophies of this land came in contact with Semitic Religions, which inherently are exclusivist, Which inherently exclusivist are conflicting, predatory and proselytising there needed to be a response by a non exclusive, inclusive faith which can be called Common wealth of Hindu Spiritual traditions, to therefore respond to the agression, predation and proselytising attempts made by Abrahamic faiths which came to Indian soil, A response was made by Hindus at that time, and that in later context was called Hindutva. *If Hinduism is the potential inclusivity of the common wealth of indigenous thought, Then Hindutva can be a kinetic effect, which primarily is to defend the Hindu philosophy, culture against Abrahmic-Semitic faiths which is not primarily inclusive, predatory and proselytising* Hindutva by nature cannot be aggressive.Because the very response of Hindutva emanated to be defensive. Hindutva is a intellectual, political, socio response of the Hindus to prevent itself and themselves against aggression. Therefore Hindutva cannot be dominating, because Hinduism is a victim of Aggression. Hindutva by its very nature cannot be agressive, because the very response to Hindutva emanated to be defensive. Unless we examine and scrutinize the Abrahmic semitic faiths which by their very nature are proselytising & predatory & which by their very nature go the extent of negating other faiths as false faiths, then we must ask questions, should Hindus, should not come up with Intellectual, Political - Socio response to preserve and perpetuate the long lasting way of life.
