Big dawg.. Good to see you on the water again. Shasta is a GREAT place during the warmer times. Our vacation spot burned down 2yrs ago ( bummer ). But should be back up that way later this year. Bro...its not cold until your guides freeze and you cant reel in...lmao! When that happens you just stick the rod in the water and rinse off the ice. 5 minutes later, more ice...lol! A couple weeks ago we had to break through some skim ice to get off shore. It was all refrozen when we got back. It was like 25 degrees out. yup, I'm done until march...lol!

You use Nikwax products? Maybe it'll restore your current gear back to being waterproof. If not, then you've got the means to wash/maintain your new gear.
