Had you already established a relationship with Andreja? If not, she does not seem to recognize Va'ruun locations nor comment about them. If you have a relationship with her, and she has told you that she is House Va'ruun, she recognizes Ambassador Bal'mor when you visit him during the Vanguard quest there, and tells him that you know she's House Va'ruun. Otherwise, the conversation never takes place.

Ohh she does have things to say, have you really played the game? Or tryna throw shade? I played it yesterday , and she does comment about the star station, you can have a conversation about it with her on the station, when you reach her city, she does have many things to say, just before you enter the path, you can again enter into a convo with her about it, she comments on the citidel..... It sounds like you haven't played it

All must serve! Just finished the Starstation. Today I'm gonna visit Vaa'run Kai. Sarah wasn't very talkative till now either, and she's a romance companion. But then she was busy staying glitched in a wall for some time. Maybe the dialoges will expand on the planet later on. 🤷🏻‍♀

Loving the dlc plus they have some lovely new toys & I did have a vanilla save but I wanted to see what mods went through & fortunately they all seemed to make it, & your absolutely right about stocking up on med-packs as the new enemies & weapons can make short work of armor even modded which adds to the excitement later on when they can swamp you....don't think I'll be eating any local cuisine though, porridge with eggs & seaweed just sounds wrong.

It really hit me in the gut that the Kavnyk system was right between the Serpentis and Nirah systems. I had set up well stocked outposts in Serpentis and Nirah thinking it had to be one or the other. But oh well. A brand new star system on our maps it is. C'est la vie.

could it be andreja is bugged cause emil pagliarulo said that will have particular investment in, and opinions about, the events on Va'ruun'kai... some people on reddit have said for example if you talk with her on the space station she has some dialogue about it... I wouldn't be suprised if things are borked like usual and will need some hotfixes/patches...

@@RichardBejtlich that would be a good idea and maybe certain stuff is locked behind progress in andreja personal quest like in the main game... I theorize though that maybe the afinity bug is still happening where if you have any boosts towards afinity with companions (like the leadship perk or that one drug) it prevents companions from interacting and having dialogue comments...

@@RichardBejtlich yeah I just checked out a video from normal people gaming and it has a clip of Andreja making comments about a “trial” to keep it as vague as possible… so yeah unfortunately your character is borked due to the leadership affinity boost… if it was just the drug one then it could have maybe corrected itself once the effects wore off… may want to do some tests on a save without the perk ever being accepted

I just stared exploring the area around the city, so I'm not far in the story yet. I got really lost in just exploring (got a little Elder Scrolls feeling at one of the places). This is what they need to add more of on other planets, areas that are hand crafted an unique. I really enjoy the DLC so far.

I've read that the lack of Andreja dialogue is a bug and that some people are getting additional dialogue, while others arent.

All must serve! I had some concerns about going in to the DLC on my level 100 character. I didnt want it to be too easy. But you said it was still pretty challenging?

I think it depends on how you play. My current level 134 NG1 character has only a handful of powers because I just never use them. My gear is also not that great. For example Andreja and I just fought one of the "Redeemed," a level 100 creature, and it was tough. I guess if I lowered my settings to "normal" it would be easier?

You mention Andreja did not have much to say. I know there is a companion dialogue bug in the vanilla game when you have the leadership perk that changes affinity. This causes them not to talk with you about the faction quest outcomes (i.e. Crimson Fleet questline) and also the quest where you take Barrett to get his power. I have this bug on my vanilla NG+ which is fixed in the base game by the community patch but not yet in the DLC. Do you know if this affected your playthrough of Shattered Space or not? I have been holding off, personally, until this is patched.

Tough to say. I did just complete Andreja's companion quest while in the middle of the Shattered Space DLC. The dialogue with Tomisar is indeed different but it's a little "off." BGS tried to accomodate the player and Andreja knowing where Dazra is though.

So I'm not done with the story yet , but I am on the last mission , right before I entered the citadel I talked to one of the council members and it said "I need to talk to you about Andreja" and he goes "yes we know all about the situation, now is not the time to discuss, if we should succeed with getting the speaker back, come find me again to talk about it" this is of course regarding Andreja's side quest in the base game. So there's some ties to it, I'll find out more tomorrow after I beat the expansion

I am married to Andreja, and it brings no difference in the scenario. Like you said in your video, she is not even recognized. I am a bit disappointed with that.

I'm not married to Andreja but she's second in affinity. I brought her along as my companion to Va'ruun'kai and she has made some statements. She knew about the station, she recognized the large building with the vortex in Dazra. She's said a few other minor things but made no mention of the ritual I went through. The NPC at the ritual said my escort couldn't follow me through the ritual. I would have like more interaction between our characters while on Va'ruun'kai but her not announcing to the Va'ruun that's she's home or them recognizing her is "understandable" although probably just Bethesda not delving deep into the dialogue trees. Remember, she's not supposed to go home and it has been quite a few years since she was tasked with smuggling. I doubt the people who sent her are around or even alive given the circumstances. The only one who is sure to recognize her is Tomisar. Just my own head-canon which could be lore inaccurate. I haven't gotten deep into the DLC but I would hope that the issue with her, Tomisar and the council would be included. That would only trigger if you've done the Tomisar bit and you bring Andreja with you.

Also the people are different now, they even ask us if we are a threat, to which she replies we aren't a threat to varuun, that means they don't recognise her, so how will they later?

I sopped playing the games due to lack of immersion and again with Andreja. They did it for Nick in Fallout 4, why not here? Just seems like Bethesda dont want the stage any more and they are stepping down from the things which made their previous titles epic. I havent even got a charater to level 30 to be able to play the new content due to their old content being just talking to consoles and then the game play being land-land-on a planet to complete quest, sorry fast travel from one planet to another without getting in my ship. I think the base game needs more of a game before it becomes worth playing to level 30

@@RichardBejtlich the same kinda immersion as in their previous games, and more depth to the universe, the side quests, the day to day, the game outside of the main story arks. Starfield gives less in all of these areas than previous titles. One would have hoped that they had built on it, not stripped it out. They gave us a rover which auto teleports from one place to another, no matter where we leave or abandon it, and no vehicle bay to put it in. Convenience over immersion. One of the reasons so many find the game boring. Everything is so convenient, there isn't much game left out side of the main stories. Not much to do, because it's all automatic.
