When I first saw Helluvaboss for some reason I thought Stolas would be the villain. But he's not, he's far from it. He's a dad who wants whats best for the one thing in the world that matters to him - his daughter. He's a good man and a wholesome bean who deserves so much better.

I remember when I first saw it too it took me time to really like it, at first I hated Stolas for disturbing reasons. But after seeing him with Octavia I’ve had a change of heart. It's quite impressive that Stolas can hold off his true form through the moments of Stellas tormented words seeping through his mind and I get the point of shattering from this comic because Stella was trying to break through Stolas true demonic form in order to make him feel in rage and causing uncontrollable destruction in possibility killing his little daughter in the process. Stella wanted him to kill her in order to make him suffer more until the rope has been finally cut.

This comic was posted not much earlier than when Season 2 premiered, and it's chilling how Stella's abuse towards Stolas and his resolve to endure it all for Octavia's sake, as seen in the comic, was confirmed as canon. With Stella's shrieks, Stolas' hidden sadness and Octavia's innocence, you guys did an amazing job in portraying everyone! :')

Abuse is not funny. Stolas deserve better than having Stella as his wife. I hope in the future of Season 2 Octavia will defend her father from her mother and tell her the truth that parents should never abuse their mates and be ashame of herself and her actions. Stolas should have Blitz as his husband but we will see that in the future.

My heart broke while watching this. Stolas endured significant abuse from Stella out of duty to the Goetia and to provide Octavia with a decent childhood. I wouldn't be surprised if Stella actually physically abused Stolas in the series.

This comic came out before episode 1 of season 2. It was some how profetic, even if we, the audience, dont know how bad was the abuse Stolas has been inflicted in Canon. Many complained the fact that there was a reason of his cheating, saying that was justified, and yes poor owl boy have a shitty wife who abuse him, in who knows many ways, but this still hurt his child. As a child of divorced parents, all i can say Is this: in this kind of situations nor husband or wife can be right or wrong, because the First thing that matter is how this will influence their children in the short and long run. I'm not accusing or judging Stolas (he Is my favorite), all i wanna day Is that this all situation was nothing but a ticket bomb the would have explode in one way or another, and will only hurt more and more Octavia, as she'll gets older I consider myself lucky my parents were separeted already when i was 2, and they got divorced when i was 6, so I'm used to, Octavia Is already 17. Shut out for the dub, It was very beautiful, the voice for Stolas was perfect (🥺🥺 my poor baby owl)

But regardless, it would make all the sense in the cosmos that Stella had been tearing him down and tossing him around since long before Blitzø came back into his life, to steal the Grimoire But then, I feel she'd stick to verbal abuse because she seems too.....whatever the proper phrase is to use Stolas' face for target practice. Now, here's an interesting question: How is it that the two of them managed to keep this toxic relationship of theirs out of range of Octavia's eyes and ears for so long? Remember, from her point of view, her parents only started hating each-other after Stolas slept, and he started flirting with Blitzø.
