Hey guys, being from Australia myself no doubt this guy is a freak of the game. But there a couple of things I would like to point out first of all that this player is categorised as a "half" (BTW same category as Jonathan Thurston) and these type of players are pretty much the equivalent to an NBA point guard he is there for passing and the occasional try (touchdown). Also about your behind the back passes you can pass however you want but the ball has to travel backwards. Also with the kicking for goal is after you score a try (touchdown) which gives and the kick adds an extra 2 points onto the touchdown / try. Also guys I have one request that you watch state of origin highlights that is pretty much our all star game (the best of the best from Australia play against each other) this means sadly newzeland players and players who weren't born in Australia can't play in this match but it's worth a watch. I hoped I helped out a bit. 😊

He's definitely a playmaker You can pass the ball however you like, as long as it is not passed in front of you. It needs to either be passed sideways or backwards. Anything forward can only be don by a player running with the ball or kicking the ball.

You can pass anyway you like as long as the pass is thrown backwards. He is equivalent to a playmaker as he sets up the play either by running himself, passing, kicking etc.

Where ever the ball is placed down in the try area is where they kick from outside. This is why they kick from different angles, and why they try getting closer to the posts when scoring so it is easier for the kicker to get the kick in

Nice to see you blokes appreciating the skill sets of a rugby player, particularly a back in either code. This guy has great awareness of who is where , timing, precision, speed, change of dircetion and pace and general footballing ability. I like the big hits and trucking but sometimes the silky attacking skills are just as,if not more exciting. You have a great channel here and its that bit different in that it feels like a professional pundit show. You have the ability to look at any new sport and analyse/compare with others.

For Rugby League 6, 7 and 9 are the playmakers. The lower numbers 1-5 are usually the speedsters and 10-13 are the muscle. Rugby union it’s 9 and 10 that are the playmakers. 11-15 are the speedsters and 1-8 are the muscles

you can do any pass you want just as long as it goes backwards, if you pass the ball forward, it called a forward pass and would have to hand the ball over to other team

As long as the ball moves backwards when you pass. The ball can fall out of the sky and you headbutt it to your teammates. The ball must not travel forwards otherwise it's a "knock on". That's why the guys sometimes kick the ball streight into the opposite team hoping it bounces fireard off of their body to force a knock on/penalty/scrum

The cut back you are talking about is a side step and he has the same role and responsibilities as a quarterback if the qb is not in the game then the team can’t get touchdowns same for Shawn Johnson.

He is what you would call a playmaker. They care more about the win than them selves. They aren’t greedy with the ball. Regardless of who gets the “TRY” As long as their team wins. (What Americans call a TOUCHDOWN we call a TRY) A playmaker is some one who has the uncanny ability to make something out of nothing. Every team has one.

Probably best to watch touch. Which is a sport that teaches ball and foot work. There’s athletes play more than one sport at anytime. ‘Tag’ ‘touch’ ‘netball’ ‘rugby’ and ‘league’ which is why foo work and ball handling are really good. Touch is a super fast game. But there’s no tackling.
