To all the Andrew Schultz fan boys out there. He has two other writers to help him with these monologues. Also if you listen to his multiple podcasts you can tell he hashes out his thoughts there before putting it on this final monologue. Also he sounds smart to you because he takes multiple perspectives into account. A lot of media doesnt do that because it generates less business. So when someone discusses topics from multiple perspectives, which is what we all should be doing in life, He sounds "intellectual" . But just know this: Capitalism and in particular the U.S.A thrives on divisiveness, fear and forcing people into a binary choice. This generates more capitalism than any other construct. Hence only two allowable political parties. Yes or no surveys and polls. Never a little bit of both. If people just stopped siding with one side of a coin with all your life choices you would become more aware. There is more complexity to life than republican or Democrat. Rich or poor. White or non white. Once you do that you will see the media and the internet isn't as persuasive as you think. Anyway, so Andy is smart for not falling for the media trap of taking one side over the other. But intellectual I say he is not. I know this because I listen to his podcasts for entertainment value. Which he provides a shit ton of entertainment value. But for intellectual knowledge not so much. Another thing that makes him sound smarter than you is because whenever he travels to do a stand up comedy show. He learns the culture of the surrounding area so he can make fun of them. So in that regards he has more knowledge than you.
