Its crazy to me seeing how different the journey to becoming a doctor is in the Entire world. In my country and most countries in the world you can start med school as soon as you finish high school. I start the 3rd of August and its surprising comparing myself ( an 18 year old ) to you ( a probably 21-22 year old ). You obviously seem more prepared than me for the years of studying that lies ahead of us but I couldn’t be able to wait that long to start my journey. Ps. Congrats!!! It definitely would be nice to start medical school directly at a younger age however I don't even know if I would have been ready back when I was 18. But that is awesome your country has that system! Thanks a ton! :D

The thing is in that the 4 years you study after high school (pre-med) + the 4 years of med school are combined in some countries and called med school , example: in Morocco med school is 8 years (4ys of pre-med+4ys of MS) i hope it makes sense ☺️

So happy I found your channel! The only thing I have wanted to do with my life is become a physician, never have had a backup plan. Now I’m a junior in my undergrad and I am definitely feeling all of the pressure/comparisons and self esteem/academic confidence struggles...it is a long hard road but all worth it in the end. Enjoy the ride! I won't go into crap about how difficult it is, I feel like people who enter medicine already know what they're getting into, but it does kind of slap you in the face one week into it (currently in my third year). It helps to just take it one day at a time, or if even one day is too difficult, one task at a time. Focusing on getting one task right, instead of worrying about the weeks to come really helped me not get too overwhelmed. Most importantly, surround yourself with good people, people who will push you to do better, and be there for you in return when you need them. All the best!

Hey Shaun! So excited for you! I’m a college pre-med sophomore, so I’ve got a while to go before I (hopefully) get to med school. Quick Q, what is your note taking app of choice? I had just gotten an IPad and Apple Pencil to transition from paper notes to iPad notes when Corona started and I had to use it for Zoom rather than taking notes. I’m debating between Notibility and Goodnotes.
