I really like your channel. I've always known that milk comes from cows, but I never realized how much work goes into getting that milk. I have a new appreciation for our dairy farmers. Thanks for showing us behind the scenes.

Eric, glad to hear your dad is doing better. Rotator cuff injuries are painful! I work with Linemen at a power company and from all the heavy lifting it takes a toll on their shoulders and backs and that's usually the final surgery they get before retirement. Thanks for showing us what goes on around a real American dairy farm. Your labor doesn't go unnoticed! And to Eric's Dad, Dennis? You've raised a very responsible and smart son! Happy Holidays to you and family and Merry Christmas! oh and last....thanks for the milk too!

I'm glad your Dad caught his shoulder injury it in time to be repaired. Because of other serious injuries I had a badly torn rotator cuff that was ignored, only during physical therapy several months layer was it discovered, by that time main cuff mussels had rolled up and atrophied, surgeon tried but was too gone. I'm saying this to anyone out there that has a shoulder injury, no matter how slight immediately have it checked out, it will not heal on it's own.

Well I wasn't planning on getting to watch another "10th Generation Dairyman" video but I'm glad it happened. Eric, never think what you do is ever mundane or boring to us.
@robynmorris24084 жыл бұрын
Great video Eric. The “inner” workings of the silos and feeding equipment is very interesting. The shaver certainly does a much better job and faster than having to use the bucket. Thanks for another educational and fun video. So good to hear that Dennis is getting back to “normal” and that you are watching out for him. Sweeping is not a easy job when you have a bad “wing”. Take care and God Bless.

On UK farms the usual method seems to be to use a muck grab whick leaves a fairly smooth face. But alot of silage in UK is grass silage. Would a muck grab work on maize silage or is it too friable (crumbly)?
