I wasn't stressed about my hair and I didn't realise until I did it that we put so much strain on our hair to show our personality and our worth that it's so liberating to not have any. After about 7 months though I decided to grow it out and see how I felt about my hair and to see that it looks like healthy for the first time, I can't wait until its more than 3 inches long...

I been feeling the EXACT same way. My hair has been so limp and weird since I did box braids.m then cut it. I lost a lot of density and my hair is rly fine. It used to be extremely thick. It always either overloaded with moisture or protein n I can’t find a balance. It’s just a mess and I want it off. But I’m either gonna just cut it really short or wait til u graduate high school to shave it.

The first time I shaved my hair was after using the straightener directly I had thick hair that was difficult to style and straighten literally. I straightened it for 3 hours and then I shaved half of my hair. You guys are so cute, and your sister is so brave. Your scissors are getting dulled by cutting through those ponytails. If you cut the pony tails in bits, it will go faster and not dull the scissors. I am so envious of your beautiful, thick hair. my hair is fine like spider webs :( and it's a daily struggle to make it look much thicker than it is.
