They were talking about the D12 albums being two of the best EVER in hip hop and were downplaying anything almost any other rapper ever made (like Jay Z). I was amazed by how distant from the hip hop culture and history they are. But I was not shocked since I remember myself being a bit caught up to that "everything associated with Em is the only real shit ever" loophole as a kid and I am so happy that I got out of it quickly. As someone once stated he is the perfect hip hop entrance artist but it is sad when people do not move forward from him and stay close minded like that.

Its one thing if you listen to it Ironically and are aware, but enjoy a blast from the past, and its another if you listen to it and defend it. Eminem wouldn't have the reputation he has today if it wasn't from Dr.Dre, G-Unit, and his beefs, but it doesn't magically void the music he put out. Yes, he has tons of solid hits that AREN'T crazy lyrically, but its not the majority of his content at all and not what he's famous for, but its also why he deserves a place in the top 10 IMO. Eminem is just an artist that most people 'grow out of', and its just the truth, but some haven't gotten the memo yet, and those people are incredibly annoying because they refuse to accept reality. So, with that being said, grow up kiddo.

I revisitted some old D12 songs I like and stumbled across comments stating that their albums are two of the best ever in hip hop and stans were attacking every other rapper like he is whack compared to Em. I really wanted to love that album, but for me it's 7.5 to 8/10. I think some songs were a bit too long. Like Runaway, I didn't think the ending was necessary. Also I think the album started off really strong but had a mid 4 last songs. I didn't like Hell of a Life (even as a Ye fan, I don't fk with him groaning in my ear), the outro to Blame Game was weird and threw the vibe off, even though it was a great song, and Lost in the World was kinda mid. The rest were really good songs imo.

As a massive Kanye West fan, his fanbase is downright abysmal. They can't even respect EACH OTHER for one second. I am a former Nemnem stan honestly. I had that dumbass period where I just blindly ate up everything Marshall said, no matter how dumb it was because I did love his old albums, hell I still do. I will say, I still think that Marshall's 1999-2003 run is one of the strongest hip hop runs out there. But it's exactly what Shawn said, when I critiqued Kamikaze on some forums, saying that I dislike how he lacks humility, how he's overly petty, obsessed with dumbass corny puns etc. I would get crucified by "you probably listen to Gucci gang" comments. People say shit like "you already knew you were gonna hate it, so why even click on it", but it makes me sad that I don't like Marshall's new music, it genuinely makes me sad cuz his old music meant so much to me. When you pile all of his songs up from first three albums, you have the collection of 43 tracks, plus you can add at least 20 more from the songs he didn't release on an album during that era such as 8 Mile stuff, No Apologies etc. and in those 60ish tracks, I'd struggle to find a single one that I dislike. I find some of them eh at worst and now he released an album with 36 tracks, and I only thought 4 of them were solid. It's sad honestly
