fr so cool i wanna do the same thing, where did you get the air intake kit?
@DebtLife_Projects2 жыл бұрын
Enjuku sells them, you can get them from a bunch of places though. Google "dodge stealth HPS intake", and take your pick.

That car really is pretty damn clean. I don't see any rust or anything. Also, we all start somewhere with the wrenching. We've all messed up and broke stuff here and there. Looks like a great car to cut your teeth on.

Hell yeah man, I don't know how he found it, he told me he wanted to go look at a car and this was it. One owner, owned by an old couple that drove it during the summer to get groceries, huge stack of records, stupid clean lol. Should be a great car to learn on for sure!

Isn't that a warm air intake that you installed I don't see where it gets cold air from, that installation the air filter pulls hot air from the engine for a loss of power, but it looks cool. I have a 3000GT and the previous owner put the same crap on mine .
@DebtLife_Projects2 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. Technically it's a short ram intake, but I've tuned and datalogged plenty of vehicles with open filters, and the "sucking hot engine air" is generally not the case. It's only sucking hot air when sitting still, when it doesn't matter anyways. As soon as your moving, let's say 10-15 mph, when intake temps would matter, the hot air in the engine bay is flushed out, and intake temps rapidly drop close to ambient, and the open filter is getting more air than the stock intake would (more surface area and not confined). More air=more fuel, and better performance. The "hot air intake" thing, in my experience, is not true in most cases. 99% of cars I've tuned/datalogged, prove that to be false. Now if your sitting a lot, like heavy traffic, and it's really hot out, then yeah it's pulling hot air, and you can get "heat soak" and see intake temps suffer from that, but in that situation who cares about intake temps. When your spirited driving/racing, when temps would matter, the open filter is an improvement for sure.

@@DebtLife_Projects sorry last question did you preorder it or it said buy for you?
@spudwebster2 ай бұрын
I am curious. How many HPs does this add or how does this increase performance? RE: I thought a cold air intake sucked cold air from the bottom of the car. The last thing one would want to do is suck warm air in from on top the engine and under the hood. If I am wrong in some way, please correct me. I am thinking about doing this mod.

Nice vid, that stealth isn’t an r/t they were twin turbo awd etc
@DebtLife_Projects Жыл бұрын
Thanks! But it is indeed an RT. From 91-96 they were available in 4 trim levels. The base (SOHC, FWD, NA), ES and RT (DOHC, FWD, NA), and the RT/TT (DOHC, AWD, Twin Turbo)
