The disrespect to both of these characters is crazy, especially Batman Beyond. You'd think with how popular and successful the Spiderverse films were, DC would see that the same producers wanted to make a Batman Beyond film in the same style and realise how much of a cash cow that was, but apparently not 😕

The main issue with static is that DC doesn’t fully own the character. Milestone and Dwayne’s family do. DC just has the publishing rights to the character, but any time he appears in outside media, whether it’s in the injustice games or on the young justice show, DC has to get direct permission from Dwayne’s widow, and more importantly, pay her; and DC has a very long history of screwing over Dwayne’s family financially, which has led to legal battles between them before. That’s why we didn’t see Static in anything for the longest time before his appearances in the young justice show ( which almost didn’t happen either), and if you notice, his is the only Major DCAU show that hasn’t been released on blu-ray, most likely for the same reason.

Might be unpopular opinion but I'm glad the Arhkam not really Beyond got scrapped. Giving the title to Damian feels wrong and also Gorilla Grodd would have been nerfed. I love concept art of Two-Face though.

I respect it. I would rather have Terry as the Arkham Batman but it would seem kinda impossible to do now unless it was further in the future and Damian Wayne had the old man Bruce role

@Shawnodachi It is possible, just drop the dumb DNA plotline from Justice League Unlimited and he is a random kid. Damian didn't exist in those games anyway so having Dick or Tim as Batman when Bruce is dead can work.

So i'm gonna level with you, batman beyond is the very definition of the thing that can not survive with out what it was built to fallow. i was gonna say its strongest points are when ever it dips into the past (freeze, joker bane) but considering bruce wayne is there to be in Terry's ear the majority of the time, yeah. @ it’s really not ,and when new movies like Shazam 2 or blue beetle aren’t doing that well I can see their point ,believe me I love static shock and wouldn’t mind seeing a good movie ,but I don’t blame dc for holding it for now ,we are probably getting a Batman beyond movie or a static movie in the future I don’t think those two characters will never get anything in the next 20 years or so (and just remember we don’t exacly know how much fans are and we don’t know how they’ll translate to tickets and most importantly we don’t know if those movies were even gonna be good in the first place) so I stand to my opinion,no ,they’re not disrespectful ,dc overall hasn’t been doing that well the last few years when their best success was the Batman and everything else like joker 2 blue beetle and the flash that brought back Micheal Keaton didn’t do as well ,I’ll hold on to static and Batman beyond for another better day as well
